What's with the Serif font?

Most of the forum site is now (for me at least) in a horrible Serif font which is tiny and difficult to read.
I have tried different browsers and it is the same.
Is there somewhere in my profile where I can change font preferences please?

If you check the "PREPARE FOR THE NEXT DISASTER!!" thread, you will see a solution to change the font from Times New Roman back to the original sans serif font.

So, basically, something in the forum software is broken and it's reverting to browser default font instead of the forum's selected font, I guess. Well, minor symptom of a potentially more major problem, and changing Firefox's default font is like slapping a band-aid on a deep infected stab wound.

What's crazier is that the font issue is only on parts of the page, not the entire page. For example:
