Everyday around noon, at Dodge City Boot Hill Museum and at the original Front Street buildings, they have a gun fight in which the Marshall kills outlaws and at the background you can see the original reconstructed buildings rebuilt after the town suffered a disastrous fire in 1887. I took this photo before the Marshall shot these outlaws to death.

The first time I saw that pic was only a few years ago.  It is amazing.  Too bad, that like most cities, little is still standing.  I think only the bridges and Eiffel Tower still exist.  Not sure about the lamps.

Back when they were stupid enough to allow helicopters to land on the PanAm (now MetLife) Building.

Speaking of the MetLife Building, here’s a different view of the area looking south down Park Avenue, probably circa 1956 or ‘57, judging by the cars.  Grand Central Station is at the end of this view with the Helmsly Building behind it.  Once the MetLife Building is built it will block the view of the Helmsly Building but not Grand Central.

Heh.  "Tonsorial Parlor" sounds much cooler than "Barber Shop".

I'll never understand this one.  It's still more than big enough, looks classy, and attracts people just based on it's famous name.

MGM Resorts International sold the property to the Hard Rock Cafe company and it seems like where the volcano was, they will build a 50-floor guitar shaped all suites tower and they will probably retain but completely remodel the three wing tower and casino. It will not retain the iconic look of the property.

Built in 1913, it was the world's tallest building until 1930 when it was surpassed by the Chrysler Building, which was surpassed in 1931 by the Empire state Building. The Woolworth Building is 792 feet tall, and it remains within the top 100 tall buildings in the USA. It was the corporate headquarters Of Woolworth Company, which no longer exists. It is now a residential building on the top 30 floors and the bottom 30 are used by commercial and office tenants. Many who live in the building work there also. Easy commute. I remember when my mom would takes us to Woolworth in Mexico City back in the 50's and 60's until we moved to the USA in 1971 and we still shopped there. Like Sears, it was annihilated by Walmart.

Built from 1969 and completed in 1972, one of the most iconic buildings in San Francisco is the Trans America Tower, which was the tallest building in San Francisco until it was surpassed by the Salesforce Tower in 2018. It was the corporate headquarters of Trans America until they moved their headquarters to Baltimore because San Francisco has transformed itself from a beautiful town into a shithole.
