This post has been taken from the "Teddi's Diary" section of teddibarrett.com. I felt that it was important that all my fans have this info regardless of membership status at this time. Some of my fans/friends are even displaced and homeless because of Katrina so...I don't want to loose touch with anyone!
First of all, I thank God for not being in New Orleans or on the Gulf Coast. We did live on the coast for about 5 years and I loved it down there. I love New Orleans and did headliner shows from Texas to Florida.
I’ve gotten several letters from U asking me how we are and how we made out with this storm. We’re fine! A few limbs blown down but no trees this time like we had in “Dennis”. Also, with the help of Babyboy, I’d reinforced and redone gutter systems and other things on and around the house so we are in good shape.
It also warms my heart to hear so many of U telling me that U’re helping out (in one way or another) with the rescue that is still going on in the disaster areas! That’s just one of the many reasons why I luv U guys so much!
I also wanted to explain why U’ve gotten “Merchant Closed” when U have tried to purchase videos. “The Bank Card Center” is the card center that was handling my transactions and apparently looked at my front page and saw that there was streaming on the site and decided that they wanted a piece of that action too. (Those transactions are handled by ccbill, who does a really great job, by the way). So, someone called me and pretended that they thought that they were handling the streaming transactions and since that is in their opinion more “risky” they informed me that I owed them about $1750.00 more in fees. I had sent them a statement when first applying for their services stating that the only service that I wanted from them was the processing of “hardgoods ” (aptly named) i.e. adult videos. I informed them in this statement that my streaming and recurring billing was handled by ccbill. So, without so much as a “Kiss our asses or we’re outa here” they closed the account and turned off the shopping cart. After some communication (which is difficult) they informed my sales rep that they would turn the account back on if I would process my streaming and recurring billing through them as well. At this point…well I think U can probably guess what I said they could do! So we’re getting it together with another bankcard institution.
In summary, the new processor may be back up and processing by Tuesday the 6th!
On a lighter note, I have so many great new videos that I want to release! It has been frustrating for me because these videos are so hot and I can’t make them available in the order page until I get a processor. I have been making the Mpegs of the new videos to go into the site and I have gotten soooo excited by going through the videos and choosing the best stuff to make into Mpegs! I am just literally dripping
with anticipation! “Momma On The Prowl” is in my opinion one of the best video that I’ve ever had the pleasure of making! Even though we did almost get into trouble doing it. Much of the movie was made outside in a fairly public industrial area. We were behind this building that we thought was deserted, doing a BJ scene when a guard came driving up. We hurriedly put everything up and proceeded to put on our most innocent faces. We gave the guard some lame excuse but he wasn’t buying any of it. He just kept asking were we sure we didn’t need any help “he’d be glad to help in any way.” He was a real helpful kinda guy! We finally convinced him that “we could handle it!” He said OK with a big grin on his face and said as he pointed up at the windows of the building where we then saw about 15 happy faces, “this is a very helpful company, anytime U need any help, any of us would be happy to help U handle it!”
At that point, we felt that it would be better to head back indoor to finish “handling it!”
But the movie turned out great! And we loved doing it! I’m putting a pic with this posting to let U see a pic that we took (thinking we were alone) that probably had an audience of about 20 people watching! I guess this scene would liven up a dreary day at the office!
Luv & Lust to All,
And my Prayers to those in and around the Coast!
Sincerely,
Teddi
