Bazooka Jules #2 Shipped Today
« on: July 05, 2001, 08:21:00 AM »
Since there seems to be some interest in the book I thought I'd let people know that the comic finally hit the shelves in the U.S. (it shipped 1 week behind schedule). I'll post the cover tonight and try and get some interior shots tomorrow.

Also, like issue #1, most retailers didn't order very many copies and since stores almost always order less #2 issues than #1 it should be harder to find. The place I get my books from had none left and I only got a copy because I ordered it in advance. Then again if you can't find one there's always eBay.

Even harder to find, since Jules got a write up in Wizard this past month.  Mine wasn't pulled for my folder in time, because browsers came in and picked it up.

I was in the mall comic shop last friday when I stumbled across #1, I was all set to cash out when I glanced up to see #2 on the nre releases rack. What a surprise. I usually drop in weekley to check for any appearnces of Rita Medermade in Savage Dragon. Bazooka Jules is coming along well however. developing it's story and not jumping into the whole BE exploitation end-yet. Still i'm more proud of my complete run of Broadway comics' Fatale the last realistically big breasted heroine.

Fatale was a good series while it lasted. Shadow State was pretty good as well. (BE scene and growth)

Just out of curiosity, can anyone give a brief overview of B. Jules with emphasis on what caused the BE?

I too, collected everything Fatale! I was really disappointed when Broadway comics closed up shop, leaving Fatale's origin and subsequent BE storyline in limbo. I continue to look for J. G. Jones' artwork in other titles.

Wait i'm missing something....where was the BE and growth in Shadow state, also who said there was going to be a BE storyline for fatale...and more importantly why did it happen?

Also scans of Jules #2 would be great cuz I was on vacation at the time.

The reference I was making was either to Shadow State #3 or #4.  Pardon not having the precise issue on my mind at this time. The main male character is heading back to his house where is old girlfriend before he went to prison was laying about around the pool with the poolboy whom she was dating. A glow envelops her body and she starts growing...up and out.  At one point her bikini top (2 piece) pops off her chest by her newly enlarging endowments. The poolboy utters "Cowabunga!".  The next issue after this one deals with the problems she now has with her new height and chest size.  "....each one is bigger than my head."
Unfortunately, I was not privy to any BE in Fatale because the shop I used wasn't really in top form in receiving its supply from Broadway.  Hope this helps.

Desire, (character to become Fatale) was of a slighter build than her alter ego. In the finale two issues, they began telling the story of how Fatale came about. The enhanced speed and knowledge absorbing abilities (anyone she touched she instantly knew all they did)were both explained, while her new body wasn't really covered. She recalled how none of her old clothes would fit, and the strength training exercises she had to do to support the added weight on her chest. We (the reader) were treated to such insights through a series of flashbacks. In the last issue, in a closing note from the editor (Spooner?), it was explained what was to have happened in the next installment, were it to be published, but alas it was not. Now I may not be 100% correct with all of this, but I am pretty sure I've conveyed the gist of it all. Don't make me dig out my collection, just for the sake of arguement.

Finally got time to scan issue #2 but there weren't really many good shots of Jules to be found. Still, I posted a few in the UG. Enjoy!
