I know Tracy is interested in the stuff as well. Not sure how much of it is based on scientific evidence.....worth a four dollar investment, I suppose.

MrHHH, I am not trying to contradict you just give some additional information for those who are new to herbs and their uses, K?

Eh? You were great. I love having more info.

He just wasn't making sense to me, that's all. And when people don't make sense, I just can't resist saying something.

Hey Aspiringdd, assuming that a person had no adverse reactions to any herbs, how would you go about making the best BE pills?

No MrHHH, you misunderstood me.  I was just asking for a "what if" situation.  Just in case she reacts negatively to fenugreek, I wanted to know if anyone had any experience with fennel and if they could tell me whether or not it was as effective, or if either was effective at all.  To clear things up she is most likely going to try fenugreek first.  I am simply doing my reaserch.  I just wanted to hear opinions on fennel as well as fenugreek.  I have heard much less about fennel.  Am I still confusing?

AspiringDD, you mentioned three monts on and one month off, but would she cycle in each month like the pill?  3 weeks on and 1 week off, then stop every fourth month, or something like that?  Or just three solid months and then one month off?

MrHHH, Oh, good!  I completely understand your inquiry when things are unclear.  I just don't ever want to offend anyone.  So I wanted to be sure I didn't step on any toes.  I am glad I didn't offend you and you understood my sharing.

Hi Blue - here is the problem with the type of cycling you suggest, most actual breast growth will become permanent during the follicular phase of a womans cycle, which is the time when birth control pills usually supply a sugar pill or create a hormonal 'break'. If  you break from taking the herbs during that phase you loose all the progress you may have gained.   Assuming that your girlfriend preferred a three weeks on and one week off program, I would think it would be better to stop taking herbs during the second week of the luteal phase.  That would be around the 21st day of her cycle.  Was that too confusing? Its is much easier to use the 3 months on and 1 month off method.  Besides the desensitaztion of recptor site theory another theory is that the 3 months/1 month method also keeps the body from down-regulating its own production of estrogen.  If you consume too many phyto hormones the body will adjust its production to compensate, defeating the purpose for taking the herbs.  But at this point we are proving these theory's by scientific method, basically a bit of educated trial and error.

Okay, I see.  Well I was unsrure, so that's why I asked.  I thought I had seen someone suggesting cycling the herbs like the pill.  That's fine, I understand what you're saying.  My gf hasn't exactly figured out how she's gonna do it, but your suggestions are much appreciated.  She hasn't started yet, but plans to soon.  Also I read somewhere that carbonated drinks should be avoided while trying the herbal BE, do you agree with that?

Hi Blue, I cant really comment personally on carbonated beverages, I am a water and tea (decaf green tea) drinker.  However, only one woman I know got results while keeping Pepsi in her diet. The others who got results that I know are very dedicated to the plan and mostly do what is recommended, ie: no coffee, no chocolate, no carbonation.  I hope this helps.

Blue, if your gf isn't taking the pill yet, get her to start. That should add a cup size or maybe two. Weight gain would be next. THen hormone injections, if she finds them safe. Then stimulation!!

How do you test to see if Fenugreek won't cause a bad reaction?

I am assuming this is for someone else, but makes no difference.  You would not want to give fenugreek to someone who is dieting or hypoglycemic.  Hypoglycemics have abnormally low levels of glucose in their blood.  I think the most common type is when blood sugan drops to very low levels within two to five hours after eating.  This person might experience tremors, rapid heartbeat, anxiety, heart palpitations, nausea, blurred vision, headache, cravings for sweets, swollen feet, constant hunger, nervous habits, insomnia.  Also, people with hypoglycemia are often aggressive and lose their tempers quite easily.  Eating sweets or fats might trigger any of these symptoms within a couple hours.  It is believed that poor nutrition is a cause, ie: eating large quantities of simple carbohydrates, sugars, alcohol, caffeine, and sodas, and inadequate amounts of complex carbs. Immune defeciencies and candidiasis(yeast infections) are common problems of hypoglycemics.

If the woman who is going to be taking the Fenugreek doesn't seem to fit a hypoglycemic profile and isn't dieting, she should be okay to try it, but go slowly.  When indroducing herbs always start with only one herb at a time, never a combination of herbs that have never been used.  That way a reaction, if any, can be clearly linked to a specific herb.  I hope this helps.

She has been on the pill for a few years.  She has seen a small increase in size a couple times but it has yet to amount to a full cup size (yeah, that small).  In fact she just noticed a small increase this past month for the first time in like 4 years or something.  Hormone injections are far too drastic, and if should could gain weight she would, trust me she wants to.  She is one of those lucky people with a high metabolism, and thinks it's a curse.
