Combining movies and songs - did anyone catch the American Film Institute's latest time-filler, "100 Years, 100 Songs"?

I forgot about it.

Anyway, the AFI continued their obsession with Casablanca, picking "As Time Goes By" for the #2 spot. IIRC, they've managed to get Casablanca in every list they've done so far... At least here, the song is an integral part of the movie...

Looking over the list - http://www.afi.com/tvevents/100years/songs.aspx - there's a lot of songs from film adaptations of Broadway musicals. I'd move them a few spots lower on the list, because they're not really "movie" songs.

I'd also move "Que Sera, Sera" from The Man Who Knew Too Much" up a few, since it was *vital* to the plot - and it was used in two other movies, too...

Looking them over by year, it's obvious that recent movie songs suck. Only six songs from the 90's made the list, with the highest being #14, "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic (somebody must have been joking). Other than that, you have to go back to 1977 to find the next Top 20 song ("Stayin' Alive" from Saturday Night Fever at #9).

Anyway, it's a little harmless fun to go over the list and see how many songs you can at least hum along to...

"Huge."

Who knows where that quote's from? Extra credit if you can name both characters and the actors who played them.
