Back to reality with a sharp, untouched, screenshot of LSG looking bounteous in black. Laura kept a pen in her mouth because items on her desktop often disappeared whenever she leaned forward.

The year was 1999.  One night I was bored and innocently channel-surfing, never dreaming that a serious addiction was about to ambush me with one more touch of the remote.  I'd seen bits of Just Shoot Me before (meh) and I'd thought the lead actress was pretty hot, but I had never seen her like THIS!  Spilled my beer and almost choked on a pretzel -- I was hooked.  CLICK to see the opening moments when I became an LSG junkie.  (They'll never get me to rehab!)

Losing her balance beneath the weight of her top-heavy torso, this might be the exact moment when Laura realized: "Damn! All that time spent working on my acting career, but I'll only be remembered for the size of these things!" Sorry, Laura. You were never going to be the next Meryl Streep, but you might have been the next Raquel Welch if you'd only been more outgoing with your natural talents. (IMO she'd have made a great Lust in the 2000 remake of "Bedazzled," filling out the part much better than Elizabeth Hurley did. In fact, she'd have overflowed Raquel's bikini cups from the original version!)

Every April 1st Laura would get roped in by one of George's silly pranks. Just good, old-fashioned April Fools Day fun.

(Back to reality.) Whether formal or casual, white attire certainly seemed to bring out the best in Laura.

A friend writes to tell me:

Today I stumbled across Internet Movie Database's trivia confirmation that in the 2011 (released 2012) action movie "Haywire," basically a showcase for kickass fighter Gina Carano, that Carano's voice was dubbed by -- LSG!  Makes some sense, since director Soderbergh knew LSG from "Sex, Lies."  Sorry there's no new VISUAL news of LSG, but perhaps someone could play "Haywire" and then shut their eyes and test this.  (Besides, LSG does have a wonderful voice.)

Thanks for the tip! I watched the "Haywire" trailer and in between the kicks and punches I'm pretty sure it's Laura's sexy voice in the short bits of dialogue. It was easy to find an interview where Gina Carano admits she was dubbed, although her substitute isn't named. But just like this picture shows, LSG's talents are hard to keep hidden.

Here's an old morph from the Gone-But-Not-Forgotten hand of the Much-Missed Dr. Fashizzle, one of the few contributors who was nearly as loco for LSG as yours truly.

THIS IS BIG! On August 22nd Shout Factory will release a DVD box set of all 7 seasons of Just Shoot Me! I think all episodes have been viewable on-line, but this should be of better quality, especially nice for certain slow-mo enlargements of areas of special interest to the connoisseur.

JSM should have run for at least a couple more seasons, but NBC treated it poorly. It always had excellent ratings, notably in seasons 3, 4 & 5, when LSG's outstanding talents were featured most prominently, but they kept shifting its broadcast nights and times and by the last years even the most dedicated sweater freak couldn't keep track. At least now we'll have easy access to every scene starring the real Twin Peaks of network TV!

Squeeze Play! When Laura got a call in a noisy room she had to employ the delightful Two-Armed-Mammary-Squeeze in order to hear.  I wouldn't be surprised if the caller was hiding on the other side of the room, just enjoying the view.  ;D
