An awesome pair of an awesome pair.  They're from the same episode (An Axe to Grind) that Cocky25 recently posted from, where LSG wears a sleeveless black top. That's a great look, but IMO this scene from later in the show is the absolute killer. (The date was Nov. 23, 1999, and I was calmly channel-surfing, unaware that an obsession was about to grip me and never let go. I paused on NBC and Laura came trotting out in this outfit and - YOWZA! - my goose was cooked.)

If you enlarge the pics you'll see in the shot on the left that the actor who played Elliott, who was usually very professional at keeping his attention where it was supposed to be, can't help but train his gaze on the overload of incoming talent.  On the right, Laura looks exhausted and glad the scene is over so she can sit and rest all that sweet sweater stuffing.

HAPPY 59TH BIRTHDAY, LSG!  I guess she's reached the point - and she's probably okay with it - where the paparazzi aren't hovering around when she's just trying to do a little shopping, but most of us are mighty glad someone was there to catch her by surprise in jeans and a most excellent white top. Laura, we still love the shadows you cast!

My Case Against the Just Shoot Me! Wardrobe Department, Exhibits #1 & 2.  Yes, gentlemen of the jury, they often got it right and allowed the audience to watch LSG in snug sweaters or silky blouses. BUT too often, from either ignorance or plain cruelty, they added totally unnecessary jackets or cardigans which obstructed a perfect view of Laura's bountiful gifts. I offer examples from seasons 4 and 6.

My Case Against...etc., Part 2, Exhibits #3 & 4.  Was the extra sweater fiendishly added to intentionally hinder a clear view of Laura's splendid boobage? On the other hand, it's pretty obvious that it would have been nearly impossible for her to actually button that sweater, so I like thinking about LSG struggling to tug that thing across her chest... Hmmm... Maybe this time the extra layer wasn't such a bad idea.

The famous scene of LSG in a bra and on her back is understandably the most popular shot from The Stand of 1994, but here's another from that miniseries where she looks pretty hot.  No boob meat on display, but she sure stuffed that top!

First, Finch/Spade is cradling that bowl of popcorn like he's hoping his hands will soon fill up with something even tastier. Then, while I'm sure he liked the kiss, I think the look on his face isn't from the kiss as much as from that hefty right boob (braless?!) getting squeezed against him. And I love the way LSG's braids drape her excellent contours. I don't think her hair was ever that long, so someone had the bright idea to add extensions that would highlight her highlights. Sweet! My Case Against the Just Shoot Me! Wardrobe Department Exhibits #5 & 6: Okay, if they wanted to tease us by making her wear a coat over that super-snug white top when she was looking absolutely bombastic, they should have made her take the coat off in the follow-up scene.  Just plain cruel!

The photographer got really excited when Laura agreed to his suggestion, but when she posed like this he was just confused.  She asked, "Didn't you say I ought to show everyone my great pair of BOOTS?"

Even though this shot is from several years before her twin peaks reached their peak, I still wish there was a shot of Laura without that robe. I bet she stayed true to the film's character, who wouldn't be wearing a bra in the bathroom, and the stretch of that undershirt is intriguing. Laura braless in a flimsy white t-shirt?! Damn.
