Suggestion box?
« on: March 11, 2002, 01:28:00 AM »
Just thought we should float some ideas on how to make the site a better place to surf.  Besides the revamping that Imaginos is doing right now, the turnaround is almost 180 degrees .

As a little suggestion, on the front page, where the main directory is, it may be preferred to include a ##/## date next to the "new" arrow, so we can not only see that something is new, but how new.  If all goes too well, sites updating all the time will constantly have a neat arrow next to it with (except for the news) no indicator of the last update.  Just a thought.

Hey there Kanodin,

Thanks for the suggestion. I may add a date next to stuff when its updated in the near future. I will have to see how the new interface works when it goes live which should be semi soon.

As it stands now I remove all the arrows for every update and then reapply them to the galleries that are updated.  This of course happens now on a weekly basis. Every friday/saturday I try to get the weeks update out.

Soo in a nutshell if you see an arrow next to something it is new for that week.

I have split the news archive page so that only year 2002 shows up seeing as weekly is going to make that page rather big, even if it is only html.  I may need to split it up by month later in the year.

Soon new forum software will go live. While i have done my best to make it look like ubb, ubbthreads is not quite as minimal, but then it has better features which i think people will like.
