I always find it interesting how different versions of the same commercial show up. Depending on the time of day, the channel, and even a geographic location you will see alternate spots for the same thing.
The Axe commercial has a least 3 versions out there. I have seen a 60 sec. and two 30 sec. spots.
Because the makers of these tiny movies are trying  to sell us things they are very interested in how their commercials are working and try and optimize  the impact they will have. Another thing to look for is how a commercial changes over time. They get re-tooled or reworked, especially if the first run does not "work" or gets a negative response.

Remember the Lambasil (sp) toe nail fungus commercial?

Ah yes, Digger the talking dermataphyte...I wonder how many people went running to the Doc honestly believing that there were talking bipedal organisms under their toenails...

Another aspect to consider in tv spots is cost and time. Tv station: we have a 30 second spot available at 7:30, but for the same money, you can run a 60 second spot at 10:30...

Yeah I've seen the Axe Deodorant promo unedited. After they show the girl in the tight gray shirt the guy reaches for the knobs on a radio. Turning them a little, he discovers that this makes the gray shirt girl's nipples harden. After turning the knobs back down, I guess he says what the hell and turns them all the way up. And after he opens the book, the girl's shirt opens past her bra.

Video: On the video by Lil' Flip called 'Sunshine' there is a point where Lil' Flip was sitting at a desk signing autographs and a girl in a pink low-cut outfit comes over and leans over showing a generous "here-ya-go" amount of cleavage. She looks to be even bigger than Esther from the Freek-A-Leek video.  Warning! do not look for this shot on BET. BET has a habit of editing their video honeys. From Stacy Dash's nipples in "All Falls Down" by Kanye West to the bubble asses in G-Unit pieces.
