Anime? Better than life?
« on: March 01, 2005, 02:54:16 AM »
I was just wondering what everyone thought of anime in comparison to a picture of a real woman. IS it more attractive to you personally or less?
Heres a picture to help you make up your minds lol

None taken.
Im just trying to gauge how many people like it more or less. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and everyone can have a counter opinion.

In my opinion, anime can be fun. and a way to express your fantasy

When you morph a real woman pic, you add some of your fantasy to a base of reality.

When you draw an anime, it is all about your fantasy and nothing else.

So an anime is probably the most free way to express your fantasy, but...It's no turn on for me the idea of having sex with ink and paper. I want the flesh and the silicone.

An anime girl can be fun to jerk off at, only if you pretend she's a real girl...therefore a real girl pic is always the top.

Obviously I prefere a sexy anime pic than an ugly woman pic.

For me: quite less. To be exact: nearly not attractive at all.
therefor i do not understand the fuss some people do about (often rather primitive) anime drawings.

That is a fine example.

It really depends on my mood. Sometimes I need real, sometimes anime is capable of doing cute/sexy things real is not. I like a healthy intermixture.

Where would I be without choco party good, good?
Where would I be without jungle, jungle, jungle?

The title is a bit misleading to your question. A photo of a woman isn't real life, it's just a medium like drawing is. (IMO)

So my answer is manga can be better than photos and anime can be better than movies, cause they are a more open medium for sending ideas. (So they work well for odd concepts like BE)

It is incomparable to actual real life, IMO.
In addition: Doom!

When I come across a question like this where many have already answered, I make it a point to read all previous posts because someone has probably echoed my opinion. In this case, Litch has beat me to what I was about to say about photos. Both drawings AND PHOTOS are only representations of the real thing. Therefore, claiming photos are better than drawings, IMHO, simply displays a lack of ability to use your imagination.

Having said that, I realize I'm in the minority when I say while I like photos, I prefer drawings. My reason is simple enough. While I find many "real" women (i.e. photos) quite attractive for many reasons, I have an ideal that essentially REQUIRES a drawing to achieve it. IOW, my fantasy women don't exist in the real world (In my Bio, my list of Fav Big Bust Stars come closest).

Not to pick on boobifanX, but his post shows the irony of some people who claim to prefer photos. He answers the original question ("IS it more attractive to you personally or less?"), quote, "For me: quite less. To be exact: nearly not attractive at all. etc.."
Now read his signature.. quote, "Big boobs should be nude, firm and round" How many breasts in real life can match his description of what breasts should be?  In real life gravity rules, unfortunately in this case (not to mention clothing getting in the way for many photos).

Of course, a teardrop shaped breast in the hand is better than a photo OR drawing of gravity defying globes, anyday (in some cases).

Added: While my avatar alone could provide an example of my ideal, I'll bring back a thread and image that sums up my taste in the female form that was posted almost a year ago.

First a link to the thread (where you can find an index to the montage) and then the montage itself. I also uploaded a photo montage of some ideal (to me) women in this thread..

Absolute ideal

Thank you for your patience as I indulge my need to share.

Very eloquently put.

To echo others' sentiments: unlike real life (i.e. photos), anime/drawing has no limitations. I don't think this is necessarily better, but it is simple fact. Personally, I like both. They achieve the same ends by different means, and variety is an absolute must for me.

While I’ve always taken pleasure in looking over fine examples of anime/manga artwork, I’ve never found them to be particularly erotic.  They’re bright, colorful, and they make great computer wallpaper, but (for whatever reasons) drawings of anime/manga girls just don’t give me much of a rise.

I’m not sure why, but maybe I find them more “cute” than erotic.

I enjoy anime/manga girls, to be sure, but for erotic appeal I still tend to gravitate towards photos of real-life women.

I am agreeing with the pro anime camp but i still like the real thing.
I would have to say that when a fantasy is taken to its limits the person has to go the way of imagination. That imagination is animation as a reflection.
But yes i love both.
Also sorry about the title.
also anime babes rule!!!

That's not an easy claim to make, either. Looking over the 20 images, I count..

6 images personally scanned (never available except my uploads here).
8 images altered by me (+ more that aren't apparently altered here).
2 (or more) that are no longer available from their creator's websites.

BTW, my index only listed 19 images because I didn't count the B/W profile of #12 as a separate image. Maybe I should have.
Thank you for your patience as I indulge my need to share.
