What do Danuta Lato and Adrienne Barbeau have in common?

Besides certain noteworthy parts of their anatomies, I mean?

Answer: they both have used their asseTs onscreen to outwit law enforcement officers.

We all know about Cannonball Run, and Adrienne’s traffic stop scenes, but Danuta?

Well, in Running Combat aka Soldier of Fortune, Danuta (billed here as Danuda Lato), makes her
**103** as a nurse accompanying some soldiers on a covert mission inside Afghanistan.  When
she is first seen, she’s covered up in a jeans jacket, riding in the passenger seat of a jeep.  A
border patrol guard stops the jeep and refuses the soldiers permission to advance.  Danuta does a half turn and bends over to confront the guard, complete with a dubbed hillbilly Georgia accent, her jacket dangling open and cleavage hanging out for prime viewing.  Naturally, the guard lets them pass.

I was watching a bit of this film today and was amused at the similarity of those two scenes.  Got me to wondering just how many of those “cleavage gets you out of tickets” scenes there are in movies.     A cheap laugh, but it always seems to work.

hint ... while I have used this technique successfully with young male cops, it actually backfires if the cop happens to be a flat chested female !

Didn't Adrienne Barbeau do a scene like that in one of the "Cannonball" movies where she is stopped by a cop, undoes a few buttons, gets ready, and it turns out to be a female cop?

I'd remember, but I haven't taken my meds...

That's the comparison that prompted the thread.  Adrienne adjusted her cleavage just right, then stared up into the unzipped police uniform blouse of Valerie Perrine.  Classic.

I actually am a police officer.  I would like to say that cleavage doesn't sway my decision, but there is just something about a seatbelt pulled tight between a pair of breasts that is hard to ignore.  Sometimes I will be more likely to write a ticket though to help my conscience.  I don't want to be the cop that will let all the busty ones off!

There was a scene in "The Longest Day" where a female French partisan showed some cleavage to distract German guards while some other partisans hiding in a truck got through.

...my first reaction was: "they're both ladies that boyhood Palomine spent countless hours dreaming about" but then of course I realized you could pick any two of hundreds of ladies and that statement would be correct. ;)

Of course I do recall Adrienne's cleavage in Cannonball Run (she doesn't live too far from here and though she's well into GMILF territory by now, I gather she's held up very nicely) and I seem to recall trying to find Danuta in Soldier of Fortune aka Running Combat but not having much luck oniline.

Attached is a pic of her from that... though this particular cap doesn't do her justice, Danuta's right up there with Danni Ashe and other all-time greats IMO.

Strange how Danuta looks smaller here than I remember her being. Or is it just me?

As for "using cleavage to get out of a ticket", there's always the scene from Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) with the female Terminatrix using a Victoria's Secret billboard for instant inspiration. Ironically in real life, the actress playing her is lesbian :)

Well, like many gals, Danuta did tend to fluctuate somewhat, ranging from "quite ample for real life" to "bona fide top heavy" at times. Then there's also the added variable of costumes. She remains in my permanent personal hall of fame of course, and I still enjoy the infamous "Danuta Lato Hardcore" clip in which she's wearing a dark wig, even if I acknowledge there's still some question as to whether it's really her or not. I want to believe that is is (of course). ;)
