I think people are getting a little ridiculous over this subject. I play a game to have fun, enjoy the gameplay, and to immerse myself in the adventure. That was what was really disappointing about Angel of Darkness. I really was getting into the story about the lost Obscura Paintings of Michelangelo, but the gameplay was so poor, it killed the experience for me.
If the main character just happens to be a busty female then it will add some enjoyment to the gameplay, but it does not detract from it if the said female does not have a gargantuan torso. If the gameplay is good, then isn't that what really matters.
OK, so Lara Croft does not strain her bra straps like she used to. If the next Tomb Raider game is good in terms of gameplay, then, being a gamer, will you really care? I would not.
Like I've stated previously, Lara was the first universal game heroine, and she was sexy. So, we elevated her to "sex symbol" status, which in itself is not wrong. Then the designers began to lose focus on what Tomb Raider was about. Good gameplay. Lara looked great, but the games began to detriorate. I'm glad to see them getting back to what the franchise is truly about.
