I down load a lot of .MPG files, because of the large file restrictons many are broken into smaller multible  files.
What are the better applications out there to put the files back togather as a large file from the smaller files.  Thank you

I use Xnews specifically for that reason. But it sucks at download a large batch of individually posted pictures.

Well hell. It used to be at http://xnews.3dnews.net/

But that brings up a blank page now. Maybe one of the free download sites like tucows or cnet will have it. It's freeware. Heh, I'm using it now to download a Farscape episode.

Sorry, I just tuned in (a month late).

If you're using a Mac, you can use QuickEditor (free) to convert the files to a native DV file.  Then you can import them in to an NLE app like iMovie (free) and fiddle to your hearts content.  Then you can export (via FireWire) to tape!  Or DVD!  Or VCD!  Or MPG!  OR...

Consider VirtualDub too.  Not sure where I got it (freeware) but a quick search for it or "vdub" should bear fruit.  I find it perfect for patching together smaller files.
