Well she has been doing those Watson commercials for almost 10 years. If you would like to know a little stuff on her pregnancy look
here. The very first time I saw a Watsons spot with her, back in the mid 90's, she was out in front of the "mother" store in Indianapolis, the area I grew up. It was neat to see the “home town” on TV.
At the time I could not believe they selected such a sloppy, awkward, and obviously amateur spokesperson. It turns out that when the pool store had held additions, only
two people showed up. It was either a middle aged guy or her.
So they put her in a too-tight swimsuit and pointed the camera at her - and blue-collar history was made. Over the years they added things like having her talk and walk at the same time, having her talk, gesture, and walk, and ultimately having her do all three while saying more than 3 words. She has come a long way.

Joking aside - she has done a fine job for someone who had a marginal opportunity dropped in her lap. There is a modest fan base out there waiting ravenously for her next 15 seconds of screen time. Though she is getting a bit long in the tooth she has never lost her approachable working-class smoker-voiced appeal that makes her stand out in the world of pool supplies.
She did a radio interview at a Kansas City station about 3 years ago when Watsons opened a showroom here. She sounded just as you would expect, and had a good attitude about her "role" as the "pool girl".
She has done a nice job of stretching her 15 minuets of fame and a few bikini tops.
