I've been quite on this for a while. I'm not good with goodbyes. I feel I didn't get to know him as well as I should have. Stretcherr was always fun, and had some posts that made me laugh when I didn't think I could. His morphs were lovely, and I will miss him a great deal.

Nicely put, and I agree.

Another friend from our little corner of the web taken from us due to the foolishness of another.

Condolences to the family.

May the perpetrator be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Rest in peace, Stretcherr. You will be missed.

My name is Marc, and I have been Stretcherr's buddy since highschool. Last night while trying to chase some drug dealers away from the front of his theater, he was hit by a stray bullet during a drive by shooting.

He didn't make it. I've been online all night posting notices when I came across this website. I'm sure he would have wanted you all to know, he loved posting pics here, and from all he showed me, he was pretty good at it.

Jim was a great guy and I will miss him.

Sorry to hear about your friend. My condolence to you and his family.

Im not sure what else to say... this is the reason I'm in school to be a police officer... im tired of hearing about this crap. "Man hit by stray bullet" , "Girl shot while shopping on boxing day"  , "Boy killed at best friends funeral"... its driving me insane... RIP stretcherr... we'll never forget you...  Life is good.

Dear Mods, et al;

Is it now time to lock this thread, or at the very least Stretcher's account?

Just curious, as this seems to have turned into quite a tangled web, woven by conjecture and controversy.

Kindest regards,

Bonecracker

Suggestion noted. I think we'll leave it open for the time being... so that folks can express their feelings in the matter. I assume that if people wish to continue to attempt to verify this, that they'll be careful not to post any specific RL ID info about our friend.

At some point, I think we'll set up a specific place on the forum for these sad sorts of things... a place set aside for folks to remember/share feelings about members of our community no longer with us.

Yeah, that'd be nice in its own way. Part of me wants to do some sort of tribute to Stretch, but I dunno... :/

For now, I'll just remove my avatar.  Being a mutherfuckin gangster has suddenly lost its appeal...

Thanks for pointing out how crappy my memory has become Morphermor.

It would be good if we could manage to place links TO the relevant forum threads INSIDE the memorial main page, and then eventually unpin the threads themselves. In this way, users visiting the memorial could still offer their comments (in threads/as a 'guestbook') without having to hunt for the threads themselves.

Of course, I'd also like to see a link TO the memorial from a prominent place in the General Forum itself so that folks can find IT... I'm putting a link to it in the BEA forum FAQ thread right now as a temp measure... we'll do better later. I also think it would also be appropriate to include pointers to threads about the passsing of non-users notable to our community (Russ Meyer, individual models, etc...).

In any case, we'll let things stay as they are for a bit and then I'll get in touch and ask him to have the sysadmin add the links (to threads) for Zasha and Stretcherr to the Memorial page (or does someone OTHER than site admin maintain the memorial page? ...is it you Morphermor? ...if so, please let me know).

Thanks again Morphermor for reminding me.
