Granted.  You travel back in time to grant the wish, and encounter your past self, who gets angry when you can't tell him anything useful about the future, such as tomorrow's lotto numbers.  There's a struggle.  He trips on a 'fold in the carpet,' breaking his neck, and you...fade away.
