Agreed.

But all things considered, if it weren't for the backspace button, and six or so tries, i would never have been able to make this post.

As long as you have a pathway to your crash space, another beer is better than on that which you expected your next girl to plant you.

I ask for a minor bending of the rules of this thread in order to post a journal entry I typed up whilst I was thoroughly buzzed on my birthday six days ago:

Quote:

I decided to write a minor journal entry while buzzed, aka a little **92**. Probably am more **92** than I realize, even what I am willing to accept. I had four & 1/2 drinks tonight on my first **94** night...and I have to admit, this is turning out to have more of an effect on me even than I was prepared to have. I had 1 & 1/2 Buttery Nipples tonight, a orange juice & vodka drink, um, a vampire martini last, and a Jagermiester. Yeah, if only I could remember the orange juice drink, which I liked very much because it was watered-down orange juice, only there was alcoholic beverage replacing the water.

God, I think the orange juice drink was my favorite, because I could chug that without feeling any significant aftertaste. It was actually something I felt that quenched my thirst slightly, although I know that it couldn't actually do so, because alcohol is a diuretic.

Um, definitely feeling a little topsy-turvy and clumsy, although I don't think my vocabulary has been significantly affected. I'm sure that my grammar is crappy right now, but I definitely appreciate that it is not me at full capacity. I definitely wouldn't have wanted to try driving in this state. I am more **92** than I realize. I know this. You have to assume it, or bad things can happen. I was lucky to have friends with whom I could enjoy my first alcoholic excursion. I also know that I was reluctant to hand over my 5th drink, the rest of the cranberry vampire martini, which is also known as the purple people eater drink. Heh, names.

The bartender was this cute girl, and I tried to remember her name, but I forgot it between the bar and home, during which I conversed with my boss... Dang, it took me a second to remember is name. I'm also feeling a little heavy, as in, kind of zoned, kind of swollen, almost puffy in the face. My reaction time is also affected. Everything is not as fast as I could do it sober, and I also recorded a piano segment on my electric piano to playback tomorrow so I can see how I play the piano while **92**. Experimenting, you know, is something valuable as far as forensic evidence of how I operate while **92**. This is very interesting.

Dang it, what was the orange juice drink called?!? Um, it had to be something Russian...grrr, the name is on the tip of my brain. Man, I want to remember. I tried knocking myself in the head, and I felt it a little less than I usually do. Sensitivity is down, you see, and I know that is also something dangerous when you have to drive. I am clearly not in a state of mind to be operating a vehicle, even with no traffic and a clear night with a half moon.

But you know, part of me still feels in control, and that's what's sobering (pun intended). My mind is in here, but it's not communicating with my body as well as it should. It's like I'm extra-extra tired. I think I'll go to bed now. I hope you enjoyed this entry.

Heh, I wonder what playing a game would be like right now. Nah, it's 1:00 AM, and I need to go to bed.

Additional note at 1:06 AM--I would like to see Jennifer Love Hewitt in the same situation as me. That would be fun to observe. I love her. I really do. Drunkenness doesn't change that.

There you have it--a record of my first alcoholic experience exactly as I typed it, except for a few timely ellipses.

I'm old enough to enjoy alcohol legally...

...I just have chosen not to drink until now.

My friends got me into it, and I enjoyed it.

'Twas expensive, but not at my expense--'twas my birthday.

does it count if you only *wish* you were **92**?

I'm not there yet, not enough beer here to do that, two bottles just does a buzz, but I'm not clear enough to drive out for more, and I don't want to open the tequila 'cause that's for margarita night. Blah.
