It's really quite random.  But about 15 minutes ago I started making some sloppy mistakes with friends I was chatting with in Russian, so that's my first clue.  When you start losing your 2nd language, it's time to scale back.

It is (or was until just a few hoours ago my birthday) and I am more smasshewd than I have been in ages. The typos I am undoubtedly placing here should be proof.

And for the record, today/last night was the best birthday I have had since I turned 21 some years ago!

Nope, turning 21 was several years ago. Life has just conspired against me in between to keep me from ever having a good party.

I'm far closer to 30 than 20 now, which is a scary thing to think about / admit to.

Well as I have marched through my 30's we still had great parties, but the sense of desperation lifted...so we all just had fun.    No benchmarks to make a party great, no one keeping score.  Just have fun.
