On reply #1852, I was looking at the blue and white building in the background and it looked very familiar and then I realized that she is on a deck of an old Battleship and then …. BOOM ! I've been there before. The blue and white building is The San Jacinto Inn restaurant and they are on board the USS Texas memorial. The USS Texas is the only surviving World War One battleship that is still floating in the world and she is berthed at the San Jacinto battlefield park east of Houston where the Texas Army under Sam Houston defeated the Mexican Army under that incompetent idiot Jose Antonio de Santana back in 1836. Santana got captured and in order to save his skin, as President - dictator of Mexico he agreed to let Texas go and be independent.
If you also look at the picture carefully, to the right of the San Jacinto Inn you can see what looks like a spire in the background. That is the Texas centennial monument opened in 1936 for the 100th anniversary of the victory in San Jacinto. It is much taller than the Washington monument in D.C. Hey, it is Texas, bigger and better.
