TicTac Commercial
« on: March 07, 2007, 07:55:53 PM »
Off-topic, but I just saw a girl juggling tic tacs with her tongue. Angel face looking devilishly sexy! Now I'm forced to keep watching MTV so I can see it again!

You KNOW when they cast commercials like this, they COUNT on the appeal such actresses have... I noticed and admired her too.

I abhor that ad. It makes no goddamn sense. How is this woman juggling tic-tacs with her tongue supposed to get me to want to buy tic-tacs? I guess I don't fit the target audience (read: people who think her hotness sells the product).

So true.  I've seen that commercial many times and each time I think "man, if she could juggle tic tacs, what else could she do?"

I had capped that a long time ago, but didn't see fit to post it here; somewhere I  have a screenshot . . .

yeah... it wouldn't make me buy them either. but it's better than watching aveeno ads.

at least they're not as a bad as corona. they sell beer using commercials from the early 90's!

Yes, no one said that the appearance of a cutie in a commerical actually makes them buy the product... it's just more interesting to watch than a commercial sans cutie. Laboratory Garnier (cosmetics, or shampoo or something) commercials in the UK (unlike those in the U.S.) sometimes featured cute and topless ladies showering. Didn't make me rush out and buy their shampoo, but I didn't promptly shut off the TV when I saw them either.

bwaaahhh!

Cute girls in comercials makes people remember the product more than if there were no cute girls. For example, I remember that,  "I gotta put Mercury™ on my list" because the spokes-girl in the blue sweater is a real stiffener.
