Hey, did you know that Dolly Parton had a musical variety show in the '70s? Well, I didn't until I saw on the TV listings that one of the local digital subchannels was having a mini Dolly! marathon for the 4th of July.
It's mostly just Dolly Parton interviewing and singing with various musical guests. This being Dolly Parton at the height of her powers, she looked and sounded great. Country music isn't a genre of music that I'm into, but I have to admit that Dolly Parton has one of the loveliest voices I have ever heard.
This is a clip of Dolly dancing The Buck Dance during a segment where she performs with her family. If I have time, I'll go through what I recorded and post more highlights.

I did not know/rember that she had her own show but I do remember from the early 70's her being a regular on the "Porter Wagner show" and how the buss at the time was that they were "involved"

Dolly trivia: My father had a comedy LP by the Statler Brothers which they made under the name Lester "Roadhog" Moran and the Cadillac Cowboys - Live at Johnny Mack Brown High School. It pretends to be a performance by an inept country band, filled with bits of out-of-tune music and lots of Hee-Haw style humor. At one point they read a list of popular stars who'd be coming soon and the announcer says, "...and Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton. Now there's a couple of big ones!" When I was 11 I didn't know why that made my father laugh; when I was 12 I'd figured it out.

I thought I'd seen most Dolly Parton publicity shots, but this was a new one.  And I'd venture she looks more all-around adorable than in any photo I have seen.
