I missed this totally when it happend (she looks very young in it, perhaps it is years old, though the videos online were all recent), but does anyone have a decent version of this commercial featuring Hewitt?  The youtube/tiny versions everywhere are ok, but blurry or low res.  Caps would also be great.  I'm not sure where the guy at rottentomatoes that posted this cap got it.

Frankly, she rarely looks this busty anymore.

it was from 2006 it takes place in the 60s (note the old school cop car she passes with the 'gumball' light on the roof) and enters a diner to emerge in the present.  there is a different version of this same ad but she starts out in the present and goes into the same restarant and ends up in the 60s and she is wearing PINK pants in this add.  both ads have the same song in it.  Here is a cap from the PINK pants version:

I'd definitely say sometime between '98 and '01, sometime during the peak of her stardom between when Can't Hardly Wait made her a sex symbol and when she hit her physical apex in Heartbreakers. Just a quick Google turns up evidence of it at least as far back as '01. It's always referred to as "the banned JLH Levi's commercial." I don't understand what there is about it that's banworthy, but whatever. I like that song, too. I still hum it sometimes.

Levi's didn't run it in the US.  I don't think it was banned, just not used.  I'm not sure why everyone called it banned, because certainly there is nothing censor-worthy in the ad.

Unless she's under 18 in the ad.  That might have gotten it banned for some reason.  That would make the ad very old, though, since Hewitt was born in '79.

What do you mean what about it is censor-worthy?  It's a commercial in which a company is deliberately using sex appeal (dare I say breasts?) to sell a non-breast-related product.  I cannot think of anything more abhorrent or insensitive to our society than linking sex and marketing.  It is as if we believe that consumers are so brainless to be swayed by images of a pulchritudinous young woman striding down the street like some kind of harlot.  What's next?  Next thing you know that kind of slime is going to spread to the film and television industry and we'll have movies where plot and quality is thrown out the window in favor of gratuitous shots of T & A.

I don't know about you, but if I'd rather be deported than live isolated in the mountains than participate in such an ethical vacuum of "culture."
