Thanks to the kind words of Johnny Swell, I've decided to get off me arse, and finally work on my inflation/expansion comic that I've been seeing in my head for 2-3 years. As I work on the rough pencils for page 1, I hope the BE community can help me (I've come here for the cover, as I want to keep this underwraps from my Deviantart account (at the moment, I've kept a very 'maybe I will and maybe I won't' feel to this project there).
Included here, I have the 4 cover concepts I had in mind. Click on the attachment to view. Below, are notes on each cover:
#1- The typical beachgirl image. The rounded beachball under her arms is a clue to things to come. It's been a give and take whether she should have that bubblegum in her mouth, but it's a clue as to what will bring about our little 'expansion' adventure. This is a beach background.
#2 This is a close-up. Basically, she's leaning on the top of a giant beachball, leaning in a way that shows her cleavage. This is a beach background.
#3. Based on a classic Senna Matsuda pose I saw almost 9 years ago. The giant ball I chose to draw as a giant blueberry. I see a sly smile on her face in this image. The background here would most likely just be completely white.
#4. Overhead shot of her relaxing on a beach blanket, with blue polka-dots. Sand under the blanket, as if we're floating over her watching her.
