Tene, you're all wrong.  The net will end when Chelsea Charms reaches critical mass- her left boob will take out the internet, and her right one will take out Microsoft (   btw, not offense to Chelsea intended, it's just that she's going to pop if she keeps growing).

Really I think that sooner or later, it'll be the end of free hosting.  It's only a matter of time.

My question is: Why hasn't a moderator stepped in and dealt with this and the Mark T issue?  I know their probably busy but flame wars are stupid thing. I intend to stay neutral.

As a Moderator, I have followed this thread - 1st of all: People have to be permitted to complain, just as people are permitted to CXL their memberships. 2nd: Bad Irving makes a good point about Member Only Galleries that have not been Updated in a year. It is not good to pay for a monthly admission and the galleries are not updated.

However the solution to that is NOT to berate the GALLERY PROVIDERS. Instead The Owner should pull their Galleries and YANK those Free Memberships. A One-time UPLOAD of some morphs or pictures into a Gallery that HAS NOT been uploaded in, let's say SIX months...should become a FREE GALLERY, and the Free Membership given to the provider should be revoked. Do the math - a one time gallery upload should not be equated with a ongoing free membership. You want a free membership? Then you must earn it. AND KEEP EARNING IT.

This particular thread about ingratitude which began with Gunslingers entry has NOT gone beyond reasonableness. I will not lock this one down or delete it at this time.

Dear Gunslinger:

I hope your post doen't indicate that you will stop posting stories entirely   I for one ALWAYS enjoy your stories whenever they come out. I eagerly await your next story no matter how long it takes for you to write it.

P.S. o you post on the SDMB? I occasionally see someone with "your" name there.

When the members rip other gallery owners to shreds, it affects me in a negative way. As a fellow gallery owner, I feel the need to stand up for other people in my position.

And even though I update my gallery typically once a month, when these other guys who came before me get slammed as harshly as they have been of late it does damage to me as well.

I was as close as I have ever been to ripping my gallery down until the Mark T thread was closed for good. But the right thing was done, so I've calmed down a lot.

A solution to this problem isn't easy, but I do have a few suggestions.

1. On the menu, seperate the galleries that still get updated from the ones that don't. Call them galleries "from the past", or what have you.

2. Put this exact sitution (members do not have a set amount of updates or a set time do these updates) on the sign up page for membership. Make it clear as day, that there is no policy towards it. If people sign up, they do. If they don't then they don't. At least then people can just be referred to that page when they feel like complaining.

3. If you have a gripe with a BEA gallery owner and want the Owner to do something about it, then e-mail him (repeatedly if necessary). He is the one who can do something about it. It's not necessary for everyone to complain about one person in public like this is High School. This is not a government with elected officials from every corner of the boob-world. The only one when it comes down to it who can get rid of galleries is the owner. Not the people who chat in the forum.

Well,

I understand that Pac-Man but Master Blaster has a good point though. I'm not getting dragged into this discussion anymore than that.  Any more flame added and the whole site might blow up.

This all has a sureal feel to it..I almost expect to see an article in US NEws and World report..BREAST EXPANSION LOVERS FUDE! I have always enjoyed Gunslingers stories and the pics he has put out there..I agree with MasterBlaster that a one time upload shouldnt get that person a free ride..having said that I dont like flame wars..Life is too short. I wish more folks would contribute be it in the UG or starting a gallery and posting to it as time permits.. We are a small community...We need each others talents if our little corner of the web is to flurish.. getting off the stump.. regards to all of you PE

I became a member about 3 years ago. Within my first year I morphed and animated several pics. Imaginos liked them and I FTPed them to him. Eventually I tried to ask for a free membership if I kept sending more. I say "tried" because I may have beat around the bush a little cuz, well maybe I'm a little modest about my work, as I wasn't sure if I had EARNED a free membership. Anyway, I think he said he'd look into it or something, and I never followed up. I continued my membership for another year. Got a lil bored with morphing, though NEVER bored with gazing at huge soft mellons. Cancelled about a year ago. Knew I'd miss members gallery, but it seems I made the right choice for my entertainment dollar.
Funny, now I can't download my own animation, lol. Then again, I didn't own the images that I altered in the first place. They were free, from the world wide web.

Well, I personally am a big fan of both Bad Irving and Gunslinger.  I certainly do not want either of them to leave the community over some careless words.  And I have also noticed who has been doing the most ranting in this thread.  I ain't B.I.  The Moderator had a great point and a great solution.  I also try to contribute wear I may, but I lack the software for morphing and I'm not the worlds greatest writer.

I also think it a shame that it takes something like this to prompt us to voice our thanks to those who keep our fantasy world alive.  Sometimes the imagination just ain't enough and needs a little digital help.  I'm going to hide in a dark corner now.  Peace.

P.S.  Gunslinger, I really hope to catch your next story, if you decide to keep slaving over the keyboard for your fan out here.
