U have way more courage than I, I could never go under the knife, a c section was scary enough for me. more power to you and all the other women who have done it
A C-section is pretty major surgery, IMO. And there are 2 lives at stake, not 1.
I can think of 4 elective surgeries I've had, 2 of which were done under a general. And I could easily see myself going for the odd cosmetic procedure as well.
But put eye surgery on the table, and that would easily ook me out. If I HAD to have it done, I'd do it of course.
A friend of mine had 2 separate eye procedures a few years back, one to fix his detached retinas, the other to replace his lenses with synthetic fixed-length ones (one eye is permanently farsighted, the other is permanently nearsighted) and now we doesn't need to wear glasses. When I asked him to tell me a bit about the experiences, he paused, then said he honestly can't remember. And like I said, that was only a few years back.
Sorry for the tangent. You just got me to thinking that we all have our thresholds of tolerance.
