pig smoker. we have market here where u choose, they slaughter, clean, de gut, I cook.

Trying this out to go with steaks on the BBQ

I had my sister (partially pictured at top) and her dog over for grilled salmon (wild caught) in a soy ginger glaze over rice with brussel sprouts roasted in the oven with garlic and preserved lemon. Those bits on either side of the fish are the salmon skin, which I get all crispy and delicious towards the end... just like in a salmon skin roll at a good sushi place. Served with cold White Zinfandel over ice (it's already summer here AFAICT).

I wish a few of you were here to enjoy it with us... more of you than that two pound hunk o' fish could feed actually.

Mexican-style salad: Lettuce, beans, diced chicken, sauteed onions and green peppers, with vinegarette dressing; assorted toppings of sour cream, cheese, guacamole. The advantage is that it tastes good, and diabetic folks can pig out.

Totally by coincidence, once in a while I wind up making a meal where everything is white (or pretty close to it). That's what happened tonight (I made a salad ahead of time but completely forgot about it until well after dinner was done).

Movie popcorn with " butter ", sunflower seeds ( no shells  ) and all washed down with Diet Coke. Saw " Now you see me " and it was OK, kinda sorta. Don't worry, didn't make a mess of theater floor, used the emptied popcorn bag to put the sunflowers shells in.
