Wow, where to start?
Today I decided to take a page out of Zatoichi's book; I remembered reading one of his idol DVD reviews and in it he mentioned that some more local DVD shops often put new releases out a little early so I popped into one and to my surprise, there were 2 copies of Hitomi's new DVD on the shelf! And let me just say, that was some of the best 3200 Yen I have ever spent! (Let's see, that is less than $26 Canadian or about 20 Euro at today's exchange rate.)
I'm not going to go into too much detail, I'll leave that to professionals such as JustMeMike or Zatoichi (not sure if they will do a review or not, but I highly recommend that they do!). First of all I thought it was fantastic, one of the best debut DVD's I have seen. Hitomi is a bit stiff and shy, one can easily tell she is not too used to being in front of the camera and she sometimes looks for direction off-camera or giggles shyly. In spite of that, I thought she did a great job.
Another thing I have to say is that this is probably one of the most risque idol DVD's I have ever watched. Some people might be turned off by that, others I'm sure will say it doesn't go far enough. You do get to see the outline of her nipples on several occasions, but more than that you often get, quite clearly, the indent of her, for lack of a better word, labia. In one scene she rubs herself "down below" with a gel lubricant for almost a full minute...don't get that very often in an idol vid.
After watching I have come to the conclusion, with 99% certainty, that she is totally real. If I am wrong may God strike me down but once you see her in motion, holy shit! There is one scene where she is sparring with a karate partner and the bouncing and jigggling are superb. There is another scene where she is wearing a form-fitting dress and she bounces up and down on a bed...again, amazing.
The rest of the DVD is terrific, with nary a low-point throughout. My only disappointment is that in the final scene you see her in this amazing piece of lingerie, but only for 30 seconds! Damn it, I wish there had been more.
Something interesting I noted was the DVD is only 70 minutes in length, not the 80 shown in some of the publicity images of the DVD cover. I wonder what got cut, or if it was just an error. For those overseas it is region-free NTSC, so you won't need a special DVD player to enjoy it.
Anywho, to all who have been on the fence, buy it, order it, get it! Just don't steal it, she needs the incentive to make another one, hell, to make several more! I have heard through the grapevine that another one might be coming in January...if lots of people buy this one they won't have an argument against that.
