"New Year, New Breasts?" from Newsweek

Here's the article on breast implant surgery.

"Since the early ’90s, breast augmentations have increased fivefold—to more than 206,000 in 2001 alone, and doctors say the numbers continue to increase."

"Not only is the number of procedures growing dramatically, the average size of implants has increased 40 percent since the 1980s."

"U.S. women usually opt to increase busts by two cup sizes, says plastic surgeon Leroy Young. It’s not a particularly subtle switch; even so, many women after the fact wish they’d gone bigger."

The ground is deep with fallen leaves and nuts of White and Red Oak, and of Beech, that line and fill the footprints and the ruts which all along the wooded pathway reach. First claim, of course, to chipmunk and to squirrel for bleak mid-Winter sustenance belongs, as all around old leaves descend and twirl about, through feathered autumn songs.

Nice to know that SOME things in this New Century aren't going from bad to worse.
