New kiddy on da block - 1st go - comments/advice... ?
« on: January 25, 2003, 07:56:42 PM »
Hey All,

What a great website. I've been a big morph fan for a while now but after checkin this site for like the millionth time i decided to have a crack myself (attached).
Big thanks to all who posted tutorials & help on here cos it was you all who got me started.
I'd love to hear comments/criticisms/advice from more experienced artists... Tips for PaintShop Pro 7 specially welcomed cos i'm no expert & am learning as I go.

This is my 1st ever & I guess I'm reasonably happy with it, except for the left titty which i gave up on. I'da liked to go much bigger too hehe but couldn't make the damn selection fit onto the body properly... any tips?

Peace & Love

Welcome, the more the merrier I always say.

First of all kudos on the thong, that’s a difficult thing to alter clothing like that.

Can’t really help w/PaintShopPro, I’m a PhotoShop guy myself(get a copy if you can, I don’t believe it’s wrong to pirate as long as you don’t use it commercially)

About making things fit:

-The 2  (or more sometimes) breast are morphed as one single entity, I treat them separately as to I can scale, rotate, distort, and so on.

-Often I’ll overlap a piece of one tit over itself to fix quarks like roundness, shape, and weight. This is very important when you merge cleavage or when the boob is to look as if it is coming in contact with an object (arm, jacket, bedpost, etc.)

In your case for the left tit (assuming her left, morphers tend to) I think a little rotation of about 15-20 degrees clockwise would avoid making it look like a bad “boob job”

All in all it a great first attempt and considering your tools.
Looking forward to more – Keep up the good work

~Oh and a final note you might want to rethink “Burger King” name and logo (you know those things call copyright & trademark; in case you ever have your own gallery/website)

Thanks for the tips, v.helpful.
I agree with you about s/w piracy, I should be able to get hold of a copy of Photoshop tho I'm not mad keen on the job of learning how to use it from scratch I must admit!
I actually meant her right titty, which seems to merge too much in with the arm. Too much softening to cover over a bad paste I think. I see your point about rotation though, that's a trick I've not tried yet...
As for the logo, well I'm just lazy not creative enough to design my own so i thought i'd "borrow" & modify one hehe.

Here's another pic anyway. This one was piss easy & is one of my favourite ladies... again, comments all welcome.

I use PSPro 7 also, I would'nt bother my arse trying to learn or use Photoshop unless you really want to, I have it and haven't even installed it on my new comp, Paintshop Pro is every bit as good, (IMHO) and if your using it now, makes sense to plod on and master it, your morph job is really good, some nice touches, are you using layers ?? if not then you should really try and use them all the time there is not a lot you cant do if you use layers , also check out the shading of some of the better morphers here, other than that crack on and have fun.  p.s  do you have a grafix tablet ??  Wacom etc ??
Sorted

I use both Adobe Photoshop, and Paintshop Pro. The majority of the morphs I do are with Photoshop......and the addition of my logo, is done with Paintshop Pro. Moving the pictures around in to the different folders is very easy with Paintshop Pro, using the "browse" in the drop down of the "file" menu.

When I first started morphing, with Photoshop,I used the liquify way too much. Anything I would enlarge would be distorted looking, but I use a combination of different ways depending on the picture.
WHEN STARTING OR ANSWERING THREADS/POSTS, LINKS ARE SHOWN TO PROVIDE SOURCE INFORMATION INSTEAD OF JUST COPYING/PASTING PERSONAL OPINIONS.

Thanks for the tips m8, I think I'm gonna stick with PSP for now cos there's still loads in there I need to master. I haven't really used layers yet, I don't know much about what looks you can achieve with em & what the rules are etc. I know I've got loads to learn about stuff like that... shading as well, I'm only just beginning to get the hang of it.

As for pointers, I dont have a tablet or anything like that, just a moose at the moment.

Thanks again for the comments, all I need now is lots of practice, & somewhere to post the results...

So many girlies, so little time!

Peace
BK

Ok, Bugger. If I can give my two cents about your first morph (I think in America they say "my two cents" 'cause I have seen it in The Simpsons), I'll tell you this.

Use layers! They are foundamental. You can cut boobs, and paste them as a new layer. This way you can cut them without too much care to the shape. Then by erasing unwanted parts you can shape them as you want. Shape is foundamental and edges are the part that make your boob to look "realistic". Use reverse selection to shape them.
Shadows are important too. Even if unrealistic for the size, boobs must have realistic look to convey the dream they could be true.

I know they have already told you so, but I wanted to repeat it, because it is true!

Out of this, good start. If you'll keep having fun in no time you'll achieve a good level.

Welcome
