I heard an interesting acronym for 'C.H.A.N.G.E.' over the weekend.

Greg Howard, a middle school teacher in Florida, failed to amuse a majority of African Americans with his racially charged interpretation of Barack Obama’s main word, Change.
 

According to Howard, the acronym stands for Come Help Get a Nincompoop Elected, but Howard unwisely replaced the word nincompoop with the infamous N word.

For his efforts, the teacher has been suspended for ten days. Parents are trying to convince school authorities to fire this word smith non-genius.

From 'Tango & Cash' we have FUBAR (Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition)

FUBAR is way before Tango & Cash. It was used by G.I.'s back in WW2 and in the Navy back in 1975 when I joined I heard it in Boot Camp. It also stood for Fucked Up Beyond All Repair ( machines ) and Fucked Up Beyond All Reason ( Officers ).

BUFF - Big Ugly Fat Fucker ( Fella for dainty civilian ears ) - Used for B-52 bombers which were modified from strictly nuclear duty to conventional by modifying their bomb bays to make them wider. Also used to describe fat guys in the Navy.

From 1970's Doctor Who serial 'The Time Monster' we have TOMTIT, which stands for Transmission Of Matter Through Interstitial Time

From the 1969 serial 'The War Games' we had SIDRAT, which stands for Space and Inter-time Directional Robot All-purpose Transporter

...and even further back from 1968 we have HADS, which stands for Hostile Action Displacement System. HADS was also mentioned rather more recently in 2013 story 'Cold War'.

Do I Look Like I Give A Fuck - First I heard it was in the US Navy in 1975.

Working in a hospital lab I come across acronyms on a daily basis. Some of them are so rare I have only ever seen them once.

One in particular I saw was QDS which stands for Quater Die Sumendus which is latin for 'four times daily', which not only requires you to know what the acronym is, but also the latin translation!
