So, are all my pictures gone? Can the Mods retrive them or will I have to re-load them all again? If I have to reload them will I have to abide by the 1 1 1 rule or can I load them all at once?
Mod replies: Hi... for future reference, when you want to ask a mod a question, please PM them... simply posting your Q in a thread someplace doesn't mean that we're going to see your Q promptly or reply to it in a timely fashion, alright? That's why we have Private Messaging... so you can be sure that your question/message gets to where you need it to go.
Some weeks back, there was a snafu by sysadmins re: making/restoring backups around the time that the forum was brought down for an upgrade after being repeatedly hacked. This human error in backup/restoration has caused some attachments to be lost... if you want more details about this please go read the relevant threads in the Site Issues forum where all such discussions are held, and where this particular topic has been extensively detailed.
From what I gather, it MAY be possible for admins to restore SOME of the missing images (not all) but we're not clear as to when or if this will ever happen. You can ask the Customer Care reps (Matt and Gabe) yourself about it if you like, but I suggest that if you cannot wait, you repost what you want to yourself (as I and some other users have in various threads).
Please understand that you ARE obligated to continue to abide by the terms of your User Agreement regardless, including the 1-1-1 rule for ALL posts that you make here, even if you're attempting to 'replace' lost images.
