Virginia "Ding Dong" Bell was still performing in the late-sixties. I was fortunate enough to see her astounding bosoms at the "New Follies" theater on Mission Street in SF. It was a traditional Burlesque house with an orchestra, baggy pants comics and "black-out" sketches. But all this was superfulous to the monumentally-mammaried Miss Bell. Unforgettable.

I think the woman was "Paulette" from "Paulette's Custom Made Brassieres" in SoCal. She was also featured in "The Bosom buys a Bra" in Playboy in the early sixties (I believe, sometimes the memory fades...)

For the record, I found an old b&w shot of VB dressed the way she had to be dressed to meet the 1959 burlesque dress code in Seattle. It looks pretty conservative by today's standard for strippers, but it was enough to make the 14-year-old me pop:

I don't recommend this DVD necessarilly but I think the art work is quite good.
