In the movie "Fields of dream" with Costner, the scene where the pitcher threw a ball and hit the batter for winking at him, reminded me of Palin, and I wish I had the ball to pitch to her.

She wasn't winking.  She was giving you the stink eye.

For liberals, you guys aren't very tolerant of those who are different from you. Lenin would be proud.

What we can't tolerate is someone so clearly over her head being considered for so high a position.

where are the angry liberal bombing places, or attacking this country or having assassination attempt or sending death threat to the right winger?????

Find me that, then talk to me about intolerance from the left.

Oh, and by the way, tantalus, as I've said to you and others before, "liberal" is not synonymous with "Democrat", nor is "conservative" synonymous with "Republican". I'm not registered with any political party; I am however squarely and resolutely against any party (in this election) that would attempt to foist this...this...aberration of a vice-presidential pick on the American people.

I guess so...This is something I need to address.  Thank you for **77** me to confront this part of my personality.

I am racist against stupid people.  I can't believe how much like the soviet union I am, thinking that people who are stupid and/or ignorant about leading our nation should not be leading our nation.  What a communist mindset I have.

DOWN WITH COMMUNISM!
I can't think of anything creative to put here, so i give up.

N.Y. Times: "Palin's Kind of Patriotism"

...Whether or not I agree with John McCain, he is of presidential timber. But putting the country in the position where a total novice like Sarah Palin could be asked to steer us through possibly the most serious economic crisis of our lives is flat out reckless. It is the opposite of conservative.

And please don't tell me she will hire smart advisers. What happens when her two smartest advisers disagree?

And please also don't tell me she is an "energy expert." She is an energy expert exactly the same way the king of Saudi Arabia is an energy expert — by accident of residence. Palin happens to be governor of the Saudi Arabia of America — Alaska — and the only energy expertise she has is the same as the king of Saudi Arabia's. It's about how the windfall profits from the oil in their respective kingdoms should be divided between the oil companies and the people.

At least the king of Saudi Arabia, in advocating "drill baby drill," is serving his country's interests — by prolonging America's dependence on oil. My problem with Palin is that she is also serving his country's interests — by prolonging America's dependence on oil. That's not patriotic. Patriotic is offering a plan to build our economy — not by tax cuts or punching more holes in the ground, but by empowering more Americans to work in productive and innovative jobs. If Palin has that kind of a plan, I haven't heard it.

First we have a crush on Palin because we hate her????

seem like anything forward after that, is really reaching for the Rush Limbaugh's factor.

Next is the angry liberal.

exactly how and why are people supposed to be tolerant of stupidity in the executive branch after the last 8 years?

and exactly how do your ilk effectively invoke lenin while simultaneously blaming democrats for the collapse of your free wheeling right wing economy?

conservatives, vague and confused as usual.  george w would be proud...

There's tolerant, and then there's practical.

If your local fire department were hiring, would you want them hiring someone with Palin's physique or someone more capable of hauling your ass out of a burning building?

If your local hospital were hiring trauma specialists, would you want someone with Palin's folksy attitude, or would you hope for someone with a deep understanding of how the body works, years of "go hard or go home" medical training and appropriate certification by an authorized body?

In both examples above, Palin's in over her head.  And while the example of physical strength might appear to be a straw man, it seems some people can't grok the concept of 'underqualified' without a blatantly simple example to work with.

There's something to be said for having breadth and depth of experience.  If it were the case that the only qualification needed is a "can do" attitude, this would be a country full of experts.
