Congress: We want to punish Saudi Arabia for 9/11.
Obama: Fair enough, except that the Saudi government had NOTHING to do with 9/11.

Is that so? Is that you putting words in his mouth or did he actually say that? According to the recent 28 pages that were released about 9/11 whenever everyones eyes were focusing in that alleged coup attempt in Turkey, the Saudi government is actually linked to supporting terrorism and housing and funding and training a portion of those terrorists that committed the terrorist attacks on 9/11.

It was a nice watered down PC version of the story. Here it is again with further details:

-Congress releases 28 pages of 9/11 report showing ties between Saudi Arabia and the 9/11 terrorists.
-Congress writes bill to allow families to sue Saudi Arabia. (I mean, shouldnt people get justice?)
-Congress overwhelmingly agrees to it.
-Saudi Arabia doesnt like that so the Saudi Press, think about that... The press of Saudi Arabia, a country where if you criticize the government you can die.. The Saudi Press releases a response saying the United States were responsible for 9/11 in order to create justification for war. And heres another link.
-Obama wants to veto.... and so on...

Obama: That's a bad idea. Not only does it mean ordinary citizens can mess around in foreign policy, it opens the door for other nations to do the same to us! Don't do it...

Oh my goodness, cant have that now can we! I mean holy hell, just think about it. Having families of the thousands of innocents that have died in various countries sue the United States government! Well, that would just expose the shit out of the US government for all its war crimes! Cant have that! Imagine how many families! From Iraq to Afghanistan to Pakistan to Yemen to Libya to Syria to Somalia to Sudan to..... Ukraine!
Imagine if Obama, Kamala, or Biden survived two assassination attempts and the media not publicly destroying the reputation of everyone who issued even the most mild criticism of them and then just dropping the story completely.

Yeah, I cannot either.

Sovereign immunity, which is the principle at stake here, is similar to diplomatic immunity. It protects governments from being sued by individuals. It's not easy to explain simply, but I'll try.

Chinese-made knockoffs undercutting your business? Sorry, you can't sue the Chinese government. Sovereign immunity. Leave it to the State Dept. Likewise, individuals in other countries cannot sue the United States government over our foreign policies (military OR economic). It allows governments to conduct foreign policy without having to deal with nuisance lawsuits. The complexities of foreign affairs are best left to the people who know them - and the governments they deal with - the best. There's no place for armchair diplomats.

And as far as the government of Saudi Arabia and 9/11? It was NOT an act of war by Saudi Arabia; it was an attack by an independent organization. That the Saudi government supports the Wahabist sect that bin Laden belonged to does not automatically make them guilty.

Donald Trump is circling the drain.....

Normally, you or I might have been able to pass off crude and vulgar comments from more than ten years ago the way he tried to do, saying it was informal "locker room chat", and that we've learned not to say those sorts of things since then. We might get away with it, if our apologies seem sincere.

But for Trump, he hasn't stopped saying things like that. And he so rarely admits to a mistake that one cannot believe his "apology" was sincere.

The outcry, with GOP leaders falling over themselves in the rush to distance themselves from him even more (without, of course, pulling their endorsement), has completely pushed the leaks of comments on and excerpts from Clinton's "Wall Street" speeches. Turns out they're really boring, and there really was nothing to see there.....

And the debate Sunday is in the "town hall" format, which favors Clinton. She works very well in those sorts of small and intimate settings. Trump (or his campaign staff) is so concerned about it that they actually *practiced* for it!

A rally in New Hampshire on Thursday was turned into a rehearsal. The audience was handpicked Trump supporters, and the "moderator", who asked all the questions, was conservative radio host Howie Carr. It did not go well. He took only 12 of the planned 20 questions, ignored the two-minute timer (they'll have one at Sunday's debate) and kept blowing past the limit, launched into more pointless attacks, and wrapped it up in 30 minutes (the real thing will be 90 minutes long).

Doesn't look good for him at all......

I can hardly wait to see what decade old recording of Trump turns up when Wikileaks make their next Hillary doc dump.   ::)

It made her so hot when Donald grabbed her pussy that "he's [her] new best friend".

The best thing so far about the debate are the tweets on North Korea's official twitter feed. XD

What's with the camera zooming in on Hillary?  LOL!

It was the only way they could keep Trump from phot0bombing her, what with the way he was wandering all over the stage...

And has any American politician during a campaign at any level EVER said he'd put his opponent in prison if he won?

I only saw part of the debate.  The way Trump was lurching across the stage I thought he was doing an impression of Frankensteins Monster.  "Fire bad, Hillary Bad, *growl mumble*.

He was sniffling a lot too. Like he snorted a line of coke before coming out. We should be concerned about his health, would he be fit enough to serve as potus?

So people are worried about Trump photo bombing now? Is that what its come to, really? Talk about desperation. Jesus Christ. Really reaching beyond that gutter now.

__________

Anyway, can everyone here agree that the mainstream media, mainly CNN, are so pro Hillary that it just screams biased? To the point where they are cheating and lying to the American people? CAN WE AGREE TO THAT?

Or do you need proof? Here is CNN caught red handed rigging the "undecided voters" focus group.

This is why they have a frenzy with anything that paints Trump in a negative light and dont mention anything bad about Hillary. From Bills sexual assault victims to all the info from Wikileaks.

WAKE UP PEOPLE!

How was that bad? They asked what the audience thought about Clinton's retort that resonated with them.

Also the moderators brought up her email "scandal.: Why would they bring that up if they were so biased? Doesn't sound too unfair to me.

85% of everything Trump said was either purely attacking Clinton, or a repeat of some BS he's said earlier. He didn't lay out any plans for anything, and barely answered the questions. Hillary clearly laid out plans and answered 90% of the questions directly.

And yes, I'm awake. I'm not being paid. I'm not dyed in the wool and I watched the debate (live and once again).

The woman is caught telling them what to say. It's pretty clear as day.

One softball question just eliminates all biased programming for over a year in your book?
