Well, there's a nice little website where you can keep an eye on the latest (distressing) news. It's called "Corrupt AF" (you can guess what the A F stands for).

"Donald Trump continues to prove himself to be an authoritarian kleptocrat that's corrupt AF—and he's only getting started." - says the header on the site.

As I write this, the latest item is from NBC News:

Quote
ExxonMobil CEO named top diplomat when ExxonMobil wants relaxed Russian sanctions

Donald Trump is expected to nominate Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson as his secretary of state, two sources close to the transition process told NBC News on Saturday.

Tillerson, 64, became president of the Texas-based oil company in 2004 and has a close business relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He has spent his entire career at the company now known as Exxon Mobil.

Seems Exxon has a joint (to the tune of $300 billion) drilling deal in the Arctic with Russian firm Rosnet that got put on hold when we slapped sanctions on Russia for messing in Ukraine......

And speaking of Russia messing around in other countries..... The sources obviously can't speak openly, but the CIA has let reporters from the Washington Post know that not only did Russia hack into the DNC servers, but they also hacked those of the Republican National Committee, too. But only stuff from the DNC got leaked.... Gee......

Is Mr. Trump already imprisoned? I think they have to lock him up now.

I mean based on Trumpel's own standards he should be locked up. I think he got his security clearance but he is still communicating unencrypted on his smartphone with other national leaders. I learned the last months this is enough to lock up people in the US.

Then it looks like his inauguration could be performed in Moscow - a novelty in US history. The US as fifth colony of Moscow.
Die someone ask for his birth certificate? I mean just to prevent he is a Russian agent.
And why he didn't published his return of tax is quite simple. People asked for the US return of tax, they should have better asked for his Russian return of tax.

The potential new United States Secretary of State got already approved by Russia according to a Kremlin speaker.

Oh god.

Okay, first of all, lets assume the CIA and Hillary are right. Lets assume Trump is a Putin puppet. What is the moral difference between Russia/Putin helping a candidate get elected and the CIA creating a shit storm in a country to put in their dictator of choice?

1948-Italy. 1953-Iran. 1954-Guatemala. 1959-Haiti. 1961-Ecuador. 1964-Brazil. 1970-Cambodia. 1973-Chile. 1979-Afghanistan. 1983-Honduras. 1989-Panama.

Thats not including: Greece, Italy, Hungary, Laos, Dominican Republic, Congo, Indonesia, Bolivia, Australia, Angola, Nicaragua, and the multiple times in countries like Haiti.

Also not including the most recents in the Middle East.

The bottom line is that the CIA, Hillary, the radical left and the Washington Post are all engaging in a CONSPIRACY THEORY. Russia hacked the elections to help Trump? Yeah, get that tin foil hat bullshit outta here!

Could you imagine if it had been reversed?!! If Trump had lost the election and then his campaign would accuse Russia of hacking the election and called for a new one??!! The radical left would shit their freaking pants! They would call it a gross conspiracy theory.

Lets get this straight, Hillary Rodham Clinton was directly financed by Saudi Arabia and freakin QATAR and not a peep from the left, yet here they are throwing a fit about Trump and Russia.

Trust the CIA. Whos quite literally job entails of misinformation and counter intelligence.
Imagine if Obama, Kamala, or Biden survived two assassination attempts and the media not publicly destroying the reputation of everyone who issued even the most mild criticism of them and then just dropping the story completely.

Yeah, I cannot either.

^ How does Sen. John McCain and his call for bipartisan investigation come into this matter of the
"CIA, Hillary, the radical left and the Washington Post are all engaging in a CONSPIRACY THEORY"?

As well as the Senate Committee on Armed Services, which Sen. McCain chairs, and which will investigate?

Finally, hypotheses of conspiracies do sometimes prove true. Until then they are only theories, of course. But to dismiss an hypothesis before investigation is not scientific.

The recount in Wisconsin so far seem to indicate that there was no hacking of vote computers involved. This is a good sign.

But hacking by Russia in general isn't to be taken lightly. In December 2014 or January 2015 the German parliament network was successfully hacked by a group sponsored by Russia.
They stole 1.2 Terrabyte of data. Subsequently Wikileaks published documents of a committee of inquiry about the NSA spying on Germany with the intention to destabilize our government by spreading doubts.

Go figure!

I've since long removed any protective shield from Putin - well he probably cares the same as a sack of rice tilting in China. Anyway the German nazis and extreme national rassists still protect Putin with words and arguments - for historical reasons they like strong leaders and they like his money they can use to destabilize the EU and Germany.

Anyone want to give us an update on the recount efforts in Michigan? Specifically in Detroit? Or should we just ignore that now and just concentrate on blaming Russia?

rtope, how about you get on that for us? Give us one of those "real" sources too. Thanks man.

Since you asked...

As we all know, Michigan courts stopped the recount there last Wednesday. Today, the Board of State Canvassers voted 3-1 to formally reject Stein's request for a recount.

Paul Egan of the Detroit Free Press reported earlier today

http://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/detroit/2016/12/13/michigan-elections-vote-recount/95372966/

"To Stein attorney Mark Brewer, who formally withdrew Stein's recount request at Tuesday's meeting of the state elections panel, the recount turned up significant problems with uncounted ballots, faulty machines, and large numbers of precincts that could not be recounted under state law.

"Nearly 2.1 million of the close to 4.8 million ballots cast in Michigan in the Nov. 8 presidential election were counted a second time before the recount was halted, with Democrat Hillary Clinton gaining 102 votes and Stein gaining 64 votes, according to data released by the Michigan Secretary of State's Office. Since the recount was not completed, the official result will remain as  stated earlier, with Trump defeating Clinton by 10,704 votes. (emphasis mine)

"Chris Thomas, Michigan's elections director, said those numbers show Michigan residents can have a high level of confidence in the state's election system.

"I would view this very positively — the fact that we counted ... 2 million votes and the net difference was 102 votes," Thomas said. "Though generally pleased with the recount, Thomas did not deny there were problems, such as more than 300 precincts deemed unrecountable under state law because the number of ballots in the ballot box did not match the number recorded in the pollbook.

"Statewide, the percentage of precincts deemed uncountable in the partial recount was about 11%, which is considerably higher than in recent recounts, but much lower than the 30% rate Michigan saw in years past, Thomas said. He attributed most of the problems to human error by precinct workers at the end of election days that can last 18 hours or longer. He said Michigan is somewhat unique in not doing anything with ballots in such instances and may want to consider changes to state law because such scenarios contribute to suspicion and conspiracy theories.

So, in summary, the tally in Michigan stands as originally reported. Trump wins. The problems with the machines in Detroit and other issues regarding vote counting accuracy there will be handled by the state government.

OK?

Before my last post I never said something about the votes manipulated. What happened in Michigan or specifically in Detroit I have no informations and I only know that recounts have been stopped for whatever reasons.

Still I find it a good practice in a democracy to have some recounts anyway, no matter if there are complaints or not. Just to check that everything went fine. I can recall an example of an self-administrated dormitory I was the election supervisor (for this I did intentionally forgo my right to vote). The person who I personallly prefered and I was befriended with won. After the election was done, I checked 3 days later the voters list. Everybody who voted had to sign off his name on a list. So when I checked the list at some point I realized people did vote who where not present that day. I compared the sign offs and I realized 3x the same hand writing style in the signature ... it was a person from eastern Europe, obvoiousl lacking democratic behaviours.

I made copies of the lists, stowed them away safe and then called a meeting of everyone and showed what I discovered. At the end of the meeting the election was declared invalid by me and we did a new voting 2 weeks later. The person who manipulated was denied to vote again. And guess what? The other person won the election. At the end this stressed the friendship. But still I'm glad I made sure that we didn't allow manipulations (as we could discover).

And this only because I checked again ...

Small counting errors always do happen. It is impossible to prevent, like indicated above when people are working 18 hours or more on such days. Or just mix up numbers at reporting eg. 9187 with 9178. This is still acceptable at large differences between the results. If the results come close then I would also prefer recounts. And nobody come with costs. A democracy shouldn't look at costs when it is the absolute basic of a democracy - the elections.

They all voted for former GDR president Erich Honecker! Elected by 99.86% - 99.94% of the valid ballots. And 98.58 - 99.74% of all GDR citizens voted. Unbelievable how he could win the elections even he got chased away in 1990 fleeing to Moskow and later to Chile.

Are you comparing the United States with the defunct East Germany ? One of the reasons we Americans strongly dislike the French was for their custom during the Cold War to compare the USA with the U SSR and to say they were exactly the same thing. Do you Germans want to do the same thing ?  😠

Methinks SwitcherX was being sarcastic....

Anyway, we need to stop whining about what happened in the election. Whether or not the Russian hacks affected the outcome, the fact remains that a rival power interfered in our election - and the incoming administration is far too cozy with that power. Anyone who cares about this country ought to be very, very, VERY worried.

Yes, I know the US did it to other countries in the past. I'm not talking about that; I'm talking about the future. What does it mean that our demagogue admires and respects another demagogue? One who tosses journalists in jail, for example?

We must stop all this crap of "wait and see; let's give Trump a chance." He's had enough time; and what we can see is that he simply doesn't give a shit about being president. The day that Aleppo fell, the day that a jury delivered a guilty verdict on Dylan Roof, Trump was far more concerned about a bad restaurant review. He's political appointments are bizarre, if not dangerous. Some people call him a master of social media; I say he's not smart enough to master anything. He clearly cannot stay focused on any subject long enough to learn about it.

If we toss our hands in the air and give up, we are guilty of aiding and abetting this walking disaster.
