What do you expect? That I take you a serious discussion member for presenting Russia Today? For presenting movies rather than text? What comes next as reliable source? Alex Jones with Inforwars as fact presenter? Or the right extremist Nazi site Breitbart news the aggregator of other news sources with adding hate? Sorry it's terrible - so sad!

^^^Fallacy Central^^^

I provided text. You rant off subject and dont judge the context. F*** Alex Jones and infowars, what do you got to say now?...

CNN admits to giving hillary a free ride and promoting her campaign and every liberal here ignores it like it doesnt exist or wants to bring up the view count.

Where is that magical real reality that Trumpet posters live in??? Answer the question. Was HANDS UP DONT SHOOT the truth? Is CNN NOT biased? Anyone.....?

...so saying it was a "good" speech and he "looked presidential" isn't saying much.

Liberals have been crying he do that for over 10 months and now that he did it I guess liberals have to find something else to cry about.

Anyone catch El Presidente's dress rehearsal for the State of the Union Address?

I didn't. I don't watch such speeches anyway.

I guess you missed the fact that Democrats refused to applaud with the rest of the room when Trump said "work with police not against them." Or when they refused to applaud at "...creating American jobs." Or when they couldnt care less about honoring a fallen military serviceman.

Or when Trump mentioned giving a voice to victims of crime by an illegal immigrant, the democrats booed. That actually says a lot.

The self implosion of the Democratic party continues. Democrats showed they hate:

*Jobs
*Success
*The Police
*Law and Order
*National Defense
*Smart Immigration
*Affordable Healthcare

Imagine if Obama, Kamala, or Biden survived two assassination attempts and the media not publicly destroying the reputation of everyone who issued even the most mild criticism of them and then just dropping the story completely.

Yeah, I cannot either.

Well, they've had to reset the "Days Since Last Outburst" sign.

Completely out of nowhere, Trump accuses Obama of wiretapping the Trump Tower. He cannot produce any evidence at all, but wants an investigation. Spokespeople are scrambling to come up with a rationalization.

It's completely bizarre. If there was no wiretap, then Trump is clearly delusional and needs to go. If there was a wiretap, the only possible reason for one was to investigate his ties to Russia. In that case, his collusion with a foreign power means he has to go. Either way, it's not going to end well.

Moreover, if there wasn't a wiretap, his tweets libel a former POTUS, which is a felony. And if there was a wiretap, it means a national security agency presented convincing evidence of Trump/Russia collusion to a federal judge in FISA court.

IANAL but if Pres. Obama were to sue him in criminal court and win, that would make the current occupant of the White House a convicted criminal. Which is an impeachable offence, IIRC. Assuming the Republicans, who currently are in the majority in the Senate, were ever to decide to put country over party and not stick with this chap simply because "we won." Each and every single one of those people took an oath to defend the country from all enemies foreign and domestic, and thus far they're not doing a good job of it.

Yes. POTUS doesn't order wiretaps as if this was an episode of The Sopranos or something; such a thing has to come via a FISA court order. Which means that he is stymied yet again by those inconvenient judge people. Ironic.

Also of note:
Quote

Former George W. Bush Attorney General Michael Mukasey said that any surveillance of Trump Tower was “conducted at the behest of the attorney general — at the Justice Department,” rather than on the orders of former President Barack Obama...Mukasey said if there were a wiretap on Trump Tower, it would mean that there was suspicion someone had been acting as Russian agent.

"It means there was some basis to believe that somebody in Trump Tower may have been acting as an agent of the Russians for whatever purpose,” he said. “Not necessarily the election, but for some purpose.”

Another thing to note is that he always takes to Twitter to try and distract people from other, more important stuff. He does it all the time, and when he does so he's usually lying or spreading Breitbartian conspiracy crap. For example:
  • The IRS might be auditing his tax returns “because of the fact that I'm a strong Christian.”
  • He suggested that Ted Cruz’s father was somehow involved with Lee Harvey Oswald.
  • He said there’s something "very fishy" about Vince Foster's death.
  • He trafficked in rumors that Antonin Scalia may have been a victim of foul play. In a radio interview he said: “They say they found a pillow on his face, which is a pretty unusual place to find a pillow.”
  • He said vaccines may cause chi1dhood autism.
  • He maintained that he saw thousands of Muslims in New Jersey celebrated the Sept. 11 attacks.
  • He insisted that a man who charged the security barricades at one of his rallies in Ohio was a member of the Daesh. He based this false statement on a hoax Internet video he and his staff saw online.

and on and on and on.

Nero, according to legend, fiddled while Rome burned. Meanwhile, the current occupant of the White House has spent more time and more of our money playing golf in one month, than Pres. Obama did in EIGHT YEARS. Over the last five weekends, he has visited his luxury resort four times – each trip costs American taxpayers about $3 million – and as of last night, he had spent 31% of his presidency at Mar-a-Lago.  He’s now played golf eight times since taking office six weeks ago. Obama on the other hand didn't play his first round of golf as C-in-C until he had been in the White House for four months.

None of this would have mattered all that much if not only had the fellow been continually bitching about Pres. Obama's time on vacation on Twitter, but also because he lied on the campaign trail by saying he "wouldn't have time for golf" since he'd "want to stay in the White House and work my ass off."

In what world is this considered "winning" or "making America great again"? This is not normal.

I came back this morning to correct my misstatement... it turns out that the sitting President is exempt from felony libel charges in this situation. I had heard otherwise on the news yesterday morning, but that apparently wasn't correct. President Obama could still sue Trump for libel/defamation, but Trump's tweets wouldn't be considered criminally prosecutable.

Wow. Another liberal attempt to undermine Trump backfired miserably.

Quote
Since gender is everything to the left, a couple of political scientists and sociologists got together, they did an experiment, and they hired actors, and they reenacted the presidential debates between Hillary and Trump, except they had a woman uttering the things Trump said and a man say the things Hillary said.

And what they hoped to demonstrate was that the outrageousness and the folly and the stupidity of the things Trump said, those things, as spoken by a woman, would have seen him lose. They wanted to establish that the reason Hillary lost was that she was a woman. “Gender bias.” And so they actually hired actors who studied the debate, the exact lines, even the mannerisms, and then they reenacted the debates. And you know what happened? It was the exact opposite. People who hated Trump turned out to be intrigued and loved him when what he said was spoken by a woman — and, by the same token, people who thought Hillary was cool and liked her didn’t like her at all when what she said was spoken by a man.

They expected to demonstrate that the only reason Hillary lost was because of sexism. They wanted to demonstrate that, if a man had said what Hillary Clinton said, he would have won in a landslide.

The people that hated Trump, who ended up liking the Trump character in this experiment still hated Trump when it was over. Proving another thing, that as far as these voters are concerned, it’s all personal. It really has nothing to do with substance, and if anybody is bigoted and prejudicial, it’s these people on the left. And they ran an experiment to prove how unfair and unjust the country is — and how stupid the American voters are — and it totally backfired on all of them.

Here is the experiment.

USAToday: "Muhammad Ali Jr. detained by immigration officials at Fla. airport"

Quote

Muhammad Ali Jr., 44, and his mother, Khalilah Camacho-Ali, the second wife of Muhammad Ali, were arriving at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Feb. 7 after returning from speaking at a Black History Month event in Montego Bay, Jamaica. They were pulled aside while going through customs because of their Arabic-sounding names, according to family friend and lawyer Chris Mancini.

Immigration officials let Camacho-Ali go after she showed them a photo of herself with her ex-husband, but her son did not have such a photo and wasn't as lucky. Mancini said officials held and questioned Ali Jr. for nearly two hours, repeatedly asking him, "Where did you get your name from?" and "Are you Muslim?"

When Ali Jr. responded that yes, he is a Muslim, the officers kept questioning him about his religion and where he was born. Ali Jr. was born in Philadelphia in 1972 and holds a U.S. passport...

The line of questioning is indicative of profiling and designed to produce answers that corroborate what officials want to hear, Mancini said. Neither Camacho-Ali nor Ali Jr. have ever been subjected to detainment before, despite extensive global travel experience, he said.

"To the Ali family, it's crystal clear that this is directly linked to Mr. Trump's efforts to ban Muslims from the United States," Mancini said, referring to President Trump's executive order signed Jan. 27 that instituted a ban for citizens of seven predominantly Muslim countries.

How is stopping an American citizen with a Muslim name (albeit a quite famous Muslim name) twice in one month, including once on a domestic flight, "making America great again"?

From the Center for Democracy & Technology's "Coalition Letter to Secretary Kelly Opposing Collection of Passwords at the Border":

Quote

...we are concerned about the numerous reports that Customs and Border Protection officials are demanding access to digital devices and social media information from refugees, visa holders, lawful permanent residents (green card holders), and US citizens. These reports indicate that CBP officials are interrogating travelers about their religious and political views and scrutinizing their reading and viewing habits, news sources, and private communications.

This intensive examination of travelers’ digital lives jeopardizes the security of the United States and its citizens and others abroad. It is deeply invasive, burdens fundamental freedoms, has a discriminatory impact, and is not likely to yield useful information.

Invasive review of online activity for travelers jeopardizes security. CBP’s actions may dramatically increase security risks to US citizens, who will likely face similar demands for access to their devices, online accounts, and passwords at foreign borders. Individuals who handle sensitive governmental or corporate information and travel to other countries, whether for business or pleasure, could be compelled to provide access to the accounts housing that information; indeed it is a small jump from requiring passwords to social media accounts to requiring passwords for email, financial, e-commerce, or other online accounts, which would unlock troves of personal information. A world where every traveler may have to hand the keys to their online identities over to a government actor is less safe for everyone....

This review is likely to produce a massive amount of information with little utility. Monitoring online activity in social media accounts is questionable as either an efficient or useful way of gathering specific, actionable evidence in support of CBP officials’ authority to enforce the immigration and customs laws. Bad actors will find ways to conceal their activity, while most travelers and US citizens caught up in CBP’s dragnet will have generated massive amounts of information completely irrelevant to border security, making it more difficult to identify those with malevolent intent...

Demands to access private information intrude upon confidential professional relationships. Anyone with an obligation of confidentiality, whether they be an attorney, a journalist, a member of the clergy, a doctor, or a business executive, will be placed in the untenable position of deciding whether to breach the trust that their clients, patients, and associates have placed in them or stop traveling to the US....

Extensive inquiry into individuals’ online activity is profoundly invasive of their privacy and chills freedom of expression, religion, and association. Reports indicate that CBP officials are obtaining travelers’ devices and then examining their public and private social media activity, their web browsing history, their contact lists, and the media they have viewed. Even without demanding a person’s log-in information, accessing their accounts through an unlocked phone or other device exposes their private thoughts, communications, and relationships. This data may reveal sensitive information that should not be considered fair game for routine, suspicionless scrutiny by the government, including information about their health, sexual orientation, finances, political views, religious beliefs, and reading and purchase history....

Not to talk of the impact this will have on states (including those states who voted for the Republican candidate) which are dependent on foreign tourist dollars. As a reminder, in 2014, the direct contribution of travel and tourism to the GDP of the United States was US$458 billion (2.6% of the total GDP), and the total contribution of travel and tourism to the US GDP was US$ 1.402 trillion (8% of the total GDP). The sector directly supported 5.3 million jobs (3.6% of total employment), and totally (directly and indirectly)  supported 13.6 million jobs (9.3% of total employment).

This isn't a "liberal" thing, this isn't a "conservative" thing, this is a "your policies are directly and indirectly fucking up the lives of millions of your constituents" thing. How is this "making America great again"?

This is not normal.

That's why I try to avoid any trip to the US the next years even my company wants me todo the trip. If they force me, they have to provide me for this trip a fresh phone with a new number and a new notebook only with the relevant data on it.
Just to avoid any trouble, e.g. because of visiting sites like this and having a footprint on my devices.

I wouldn't have expected this to happen in a western nation. North Korea and Venezuela - for sure. Turkey - since shortly, too. But the US? Never ever I would have expected this a few months ago.

This just in: The Congressional Budget Office, that bi-partisan group that analyzes all budget proposals for their overall impact, has released its numbers on the GOP's Affordable Healthcare Act aka Obamacare 2.0 aka Trumpcare.

They do note that the bill would cut the Federal deficit by $337 billion over the next nine years, but that is due to the rollback of outlays for Medicaid and the end of individual subsidies. You know, the very things that make it possible for poor people to have health insurance and not get free rides on the backs of everyone else when they visit emergency rooms for basic treatment....

And by removing the penalties for not having insurance, young and healthy people will drop their coverage. That will make premiums go up for everyone else, which will cause more people to drop their coverage when they can't afford the premiums.

Say goodbye to all those gains in health care coverage under Obamacare....

The attached chart is not one I would have made, but it gives the numbers.

Oh, and Kellyanne Conway really needs a new tinfoil hat.....
