As of this time, the current President of the US has signed and Executive order ( I think forced to sign ) ending the separation of families at the border.

Now they need to reunite the children with the parents that they HAVE ALREADY DEPORTED!

Parents were deported and we still have the kids.

One bad action/decision stopped now another act that needs to be fixed, and this could take more than a few months.

The hostage crisis (and that's what it is - this is all about **77** Congress to approve The Great Wall of Trump) will not be truly over until the last family is reunited.

Keep up the pressure!

Trump Derangement Syndrome is real folks.

Where is your answer to my request for a statement? I WAIT!

You dare (I have to asume since you can only post short strange statements) like this idiot try to compare trying to hold children as hostage for negotiations with drone strkes and spying on journalists? Really?
Trumpelstilsken did the same before with the dreamers, trying to use them as disposable negotiation mass. What is next? I can't be long that he demands kills to have better pressure in negotians?

By the way, what cages does he mean? The camps for unattended immigrant children that came alone to the US? Yes this is certainly not a famous thing also for Obama.
How twisted must a mind be to not recognize there is a difference! Between then and now.
I would have solved it certainly different. It requires small groups of maximum 10 unattend people in accomodations with a social worker helping them during the time until the decisions are made what is going to happen. And the practise was when parents or other family members came previously to the US and they were in the immigration decision making process these "unattended" children were brought to their parents and family members and not into the camps.

And with the US spying on us all and my german government not taking action against the US, the parties involved lost every support from my side.

About drone strikes.
I don't like military at all. At times it was my round for obligatory services I denied to go to military and instead did civil services. If I could I would end any army in this world immediately. Nobody needs military.
And drone strikes ... why did the right wing not stop it under George W. Bush? Why they didn't stop it in congress with their majority? Now they bring it up as another WHATABOUTIMS Obama only problem ...

This idiot guy whoever he is, is sick what he writes is like a split personality. He is not to be taken serious, unfortunately what they do is lethally serious!

And Pendejo I still expect a deeper statement by you about the practise that now has been stopped. I don't need posts with a strange sentence "Trump Derangement Syndrome is real folks" without own opinion by you. Otherwise I have to asume your only purpose is trying to bring propaganda posts to this board and you could also be a Russian agent with no english writing skills in an attempt to split the society.

It has to end NOW! I have business with a quite conservative US company in considerable amount. I am going to demand the CEO to public stand against this criminal acts or I end the business with him, even I will have a financial impact myself. I can't stand this anymore!

The fact that certain people are making money off of the suffering of others is disgusting. It's a shame that the only way people like this will be persuaded is if you affect their bank account. I wish you good luck in your attempt to hit that CEO's company in the pocketbook, andrat.

The problem is ... the considerable amount of business is on my side not on theirs. They are much bigger. It will probably shut down my business completely and I would have to find an employment instead. It will put my financial well being at risk.

So I wrote my concerns to them. The senior vice president and chief ethics and compliance officer wants to come back to me about it. Let's see what is the outcome.

Not good, not good. The senior vice president and compliance manager answered me. He said the CEO did give a statement about the detention of children and pointed to other activities of that company ... activities that are 2 years old in the times of Obama ...

And the statement of the CEO he was telling me is non existent.

I replied and said that this is an evasive answer and pointed out that this statement doesn't exist and I expect something of more substance from this company.

It is sad, really really sad.

I don't like posting entire articles here (I prefer editing down to the key passages and then giving a link to the complete article), much less sharing things from behind a "paywall".

But when you read this article about how bad things are fucked up at the border, I hope you'll understand why I felt I had to.

Be prepared to be furious and disgusted......(italics in original - bold is my own emphasis)

-----

Families will no longer be separated at the border. But where are my clients’ kids?

A Texas public defender says he can’t get answers for the parents who have already lost their children.

by Erik Hanshew June 20 at 3:55 PM
Erik Hanshew is an Assistant Federal Public Defender in El Paso, Texas.

I sat across from my new client, a petite woman from Central America in her late 20s or early 30s, behind the plexiglass at the El Paso County Detention Facility. She had fled her country with her **22** son. Like many of the clients I’ve represented in the past four weeks, she had been charged with illegal reentry. She had no interest in discussing the charges, though. All she wanted to ask about was her son, who had been taken from her when she crossed the border.

“Where is my **09**?” She demanded. “Why did this happen? Who took him? When will they tell me anything?” She made no effort to be courteous as she fired one question after another at me.

To all of her questions, I had to answer: I don’t know.

She stared me in the eye, indignant. “Why don’t you know?” she asked. “You’re my lawyer.”

As an assistant federal public defender, I’m not used to being in this position. I take pride in being able to provide information to clients, who are relying on me. I usually spend meetings cultivating the client’s trust, sharing legal expertise and answering their questions. In a typical meeting, the defendants in a federal criminal case ask the same questions: How much time am I looking at? What do these charges mean? Is my judge fair? Should I go to trial or plead guilty? But things are different in El Paso now.

In the wake of the Trump administration’s policy to purposely separate parents and children at the U.S.-Mexico border, my clients now ask: Where is my little girl? Who’s taking care of her? When do I get to see her again? Will they deport me without her? How will she be protected and by whom? How can I talk with her? Who will give her medicine if she’s sick? Gone are concerns about sentencing. It’s all about the parent and the missing **09**, separated not just by plexiglass and jail bars but by a gulf of the unknown. The president Wednesday signed an executive order ending the policy, but that changes nothing for my clients or the thousands of other parents who have already lost their kids at the border.

The client meetings have been crushing. One man sobs, asking how his small **09** could defend himself in a detention facility. One cries so uncontrollably, he is hardly able to speak. Question after crying question piles up from one client to the next. One man, short and large, sat hunched over for most of our conversation, weeping. Through tears, he stuttered and glanced up at me as he tried to explain what happened. The worst moment came when I held up a sheet with my office’s phone number and some other information. He said, with embarrassment, that he couldn’t read. The plight of these clients is compounded when a client can’t spell his missing **09**’s name, or even his own, in English or Spanish.

I have to explain to these parents that I might never be able to answer their questions. I can’t promise that they’ll be able to speak to their children, or know their whereabouts or who is taking care of them, or whether they’ll be sent back home without their kids.

Why so many unknowns? This administration appears to have no infrastructure, policy or plan in place to deal with the destruction of families seeking refuge or a new life in our country. The disarray and confusion are on full display at the detention hearings I’ve attended for my clients — those are the hearings to determine whether a charged individual will be allowed to stay out on bond while their criminal case is pending.

During the hearing, the federal prosecutor puts an agent on the stand to give an account of what’s happened in the case, and then I am able to cross-examine. You would never know from the agent’s testimony that we’re dealing with a parent who has been separated from a **09**. That is not mentioned in the complaint. The prosecutor asks no questions about the **09**. At no point do they discuss the **09**. The **09** might as well not exist.

During cross-examination of one agent, I asked if she was aware that my client was arrested with his 4-year-old daughter. She said no. I was shocked, but this is the game. I asked whether she was the lead investigator, and if she had talked to field agents in this case. She said yes. I asked if it had become known to her that my client had his 4-year-old **09** with him. Yes, she said, but added that she didn’t know the **09** was a 4-year-old female.

The judge just glared at her.

This is how it goes. I ask about the **09**; the government objects; the judge forces the agent to answer. The answer is always the same.

“Do you know the location of the **09**?” No or unknown.

“Did you provide my client with information as to the location of his **09**?” No or unknown.

“Did you provide my client with any information as to how he could go about finding his **09**?” No or unknown.

In a rare instance, one agent said a **09** was in a particular city — one far from El Paso. But of course, no details were known regarding the **09**’s specific location.

At another hearing before a different judge, as one of my colleagues asked the agent on the stand about the whereabouts of my client’s **09**, the prosecutor objected to the relevance of the questions. The judge turned on the prosecutor, demanding to know why this wasn’t relevant. At one point, he slammed his hand on the desk, sending a pen flying. This type of emotional display is unheard of in federal court. I can’t understand this, the judge said. If someone at the jail takes your wallet, they give you a receipt. They take your kids, and you get nothing? Not even a slip of paper?

Our office does what it can. If we’re lucky, we can determine that a client’s **09** is at least in the vicinity of El Paso. But those “answers” come only after calls and calls and calls to the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). The process is so chaotic and byzantine that our office has tasked investigators, paralegals, administrative staffers and interns with calling and sitting on hold, waiting to speak to someone. Some of our investigators have waited nearly an hour just to get a person on the line. And once they find someone, their inquiries are met with vague statements that the **09** is in the United States. The ORR demands to speak directly to the parent of the **09**. We explain that the parent is in federal custody at local detention facilities, to no avail. We ask the local jails to facilitate the calls with the ORR. It took more than an hour for one call to be set up, so the jails stopped doing it.

Meanwhile our clients, these traumatized parents, remain in custody on felony charges, despite no criminal history and, in many cases, only a single prior contact with the United States. They have no answer to the question any parent would have: When do I get to hold my beloved **09** again? Despite Trump’s declaration that he is ending the policy, I have little confidence that answers will be forthcoming.

While I’m an admittedly zealous defense attorney, always looking to challenge federal prosecutors on behalf of my clients, I’m generally able to step back and understand, if not agree with, the government’s reasoning for prosecuting federal crimes. Debate about what constitutes a crime and what is a fair punishment is as old as civilization. I believe it’s a valid and valuable discourse. But I cannot, for the life of me, understand or accept how the government believes that justice supported taking children from their parents at our borders. The government has discretion in charging crimes, removing individuals and all other aspects of criminal and immigration proceedings. The guiding principle should be to seek justice.

But after seeing parents whose children were stolen away by the government, with no plan to reunite them, I know I am not seeing justice at work. And I don’t know how this will end.

Where is your answer to my request for a statement? I WAIT!

Sir, let's try this approach. If my posts bother our anger you, just ignore them. Besides, it's fruitless to engage with any adult who in the year of 2018 throws around trigger words such as Hitler or Nazi and expect to be taken seriously. Russian agent? Nah just another deplorable rejecting this social justice and PC culture bullshit that's plaguing our nation. It's a disease, spreading like  cancer. My posts are to counter the rhetoric that all conservatives are evil and liberals are angels sent to save us all. As far as getting into any deep political insight, I'll choose another forum, not a porn site. But hey, that's just me. Good day.

Yes I talk about Hitler and I talk about Nazi because obviously it has been forgotten by a VAST amount of American and even European citizens. You are on the way to this. And people doing this kind of stuff on the border are nothing else then the same people helping Hitler and his Nazis stay in power.

Your posts, the posts of StrikezOne are the cancer that eats up this world since a few years. You plague the world.

And you just commit your only purpose here is agitating in short posts. Thank you for confirming my surmises in your case!

It is repulsive.

I thought that the rounding up children into concentration camps and losing them in the documentation of their whereabouts was finally the beginning of forgoing the Goodwin's law. The comparison was long overdue, but this was surely the line drawn even by some of the Republican have acknowledge this.
If you can't see this short sighted cruel plan that have damage the children's lives as an action that most resembles a Fascistic leadership, then you are wasting my time.

Time magazine is defending a cover that critics claim inaccurately depicts a migrant **09** as being separated from her parents, insisting the "cover and our reporting capture the stakes of this moment."

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story, right?

Fact: all politicians lie, but shouldn't the media be above this? Or is it take this administration down at any cost and deal with the collateral damage later?

For the people with comprehension issues, the real Time cover is on the left side.

Question. Did the Times say exactly this girl has been separated?

And right now the Nazis take this one thing to invalidate again any reasoning why their totalitarian monster behaviours has been opposed by a free and democratic civilian society. They continue with the agitation, even the detention was really happening.

And while the Nazis didn't find any words for sorry for what they did or supported and neither gave any explanation (even when repeatedly requested) what they think about it, the free and democratic in the middle of the society standing media and people based in the middle of the democratic society even discuss honestly this Times cover. This Times report was an important report no doubt.

One good apple in a pile of Nazi shit doesn't make a good dinner!

Nazi shit piles are still disgusting.
