So today I learned about John Cage's wackiest composition: Organ²/ASLSP (As Slow as Possible). Written in 1987, it is currently being performed an organ in Sankt-Burchardi-Church in Halberstadt, Germany. The performance started on September 5, 2001, with a rest lasting until February 5, 2003, when the first chord played. The next note of the piece will be played on February 5th, 2022. At this rate, the performance will not end until September 5, 2640. The duration marks the 639 years between the first documented permanent organ installation in Halberstadt Cathedral, in 1361, and the proposed start date of 2000.

This is recently announced tire made by Michelin which they call the airless "Uptis" tire with an initial introduction in 2024 in luxury/high performance cars. No flat tires, no blowouts, no maintenance. It also gives a smoother ride since the tire conforms to the road more than regular tires. Yup, it will be more expensive when you buy the car but in the long run it will be cheaper since you may not need to replace it due to its long life.

On September 18, 2021, the 77th anniversary of " Operation Market Garden " was commemorated by paratroopers of twelve different nations at the original drop zone of Ginkelse Heide, Netherlands by three airborne divisions on September 17, 1944 which ended up as a fiasco. The Germans successfully repulsed the offensive and rather than ending the war by Christmas as Field Marshal General Bernard Montgomery, who pushed for this action and convinced Supreme Allied Commander Europe Dwight Eisenhower to give his support, it ended as a delay to the war in the western front. It became the story for the book and later on the movie " A Bridge Too Far ".
