I have a friend who thinks outside the box like that.  It’s times like that that really make DMing rewarding. 

I was running a game where we played fast and loose with character creation, (this was back in the 80s), so we had a party with both a halfling and a half-giant in it.  During one wilderness encounter, the half-giant grabbed the halfling, plopped him on the big guy's round shield, and frisbee'd the short-arse down a hill at the enemy, like a round disk snow sled.  The halfling screamed "Moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooother!!!!!" all the way down the hill.  I couldn't even roll for initiative or damage or anything, because like everyone else, I was laughing my ass off!!

Today I learned that the late Robert B. Sherman, who along with his brother Richard M. Sherman won two Oscars and two Grammys for their music in Mary Poppins, also was granted the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge, two Battle Stars for his European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, an American Campaign Medal, a World War II Victory Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal, and several Army Weapons Qualifications badges.

On April 29, 1945, Sherman was among the first soldiers who entered the Dachau concentration camp to liberate it from the Nazis.

He was part of the Greatest Generation, who lived in the Great Depression and World War 2 and lived to see man land on the Moon.

Jumping from a C-130 Hercules transport above San Diego bay, on the left side is 32nd street Naval Station where amphibious ships tie up and on the right is the Coronado strand highway where Navy Seals train nearby.
