Just saw a little YouTube doc about this movie—one of my faves— and didn’t realize that Charlton Heston had originally been considered for the lead role.  Probably would’ve done a lot better at the box office had it had a major Hollywood star in it.  Only made $300,000 which wasn’t good even by standards of the day.

What's kind of funny to me, is that meme is based on an actual Marvel Comics character.  They really do have a Hitman Monkey in the main comic universe.  Kind of boggled my mind at the weirdness when I first found out.

Part of a panoramic Cris took while we were on the boardwalk in Atlantic City.  If you’re not familiar with shooting a panoramic pic, you start in one location and slowly move the camera for the full length of the panorama.  Trouble is if there is something moving while you’re taking the pix, you may lose part of the person or object in one part of the pano. Your subject is there, but if it’s moved on by the time you panned over, it can’t take a picture of what’s no longer there.  Hence, the phantom cyclist.

Ordered in 1982 during the Ronald Reagan presidency, laid down in 1986 and commissioned in 1992, the USS George Washington (CVN-73) is now based in Yokosuka, Japan, and she recently was overhauled and should be around another 20 years or so.

I recently visited Dodge City, Kansas, and one of my favorite TV shows ever was Gunsmoke, 1955-1975, and I saw this statue of James Arness in the downtown area of town on Wyatt Earp boulevard and so I took this photo. He played Marshall Matt Dillon, who never existed but the character was a composite of several lawmen of the time. I enjoyed my stay in the town.

Right near the visitor center by the Bus Trolley tour bus, I took this photo of a history of Dodge City so that people may learn about the historical importance of the town.

This is mind-boggling!  I wouldn't attempt using this for a million dollars!
