Ah, if so, it caught me.  I thought it was due to a bad photo of a place in a foreign country.

I looked them up on wikipedia, and apparently they've gone downhill in the US.  There's 48 stores in California, and 2 in Washington state, and that's it.
For some reason, an offshoot of the company is really big in the Phillipines though, but I doubt they'd be much like that places you remember by now.

During the battle of Iwo Jima, a couple of kamikazes hit the USS Franklin and severely damaged it but did not sink it and she proceeded at a very slow speed from Japan all the way to the Brooklyn Naval shipyard for repairs, but she never returned to battle since the war ended and later on, she was scrapped.
