The BEA Owner's prohibition against my$pace and web$hots was established to prevent users from posting or linking photos of underaged or borderline-underaged photo subjects. Before the rule was adopted, most of the underaged pictures posted here came from my$pace and web$hots, and the problem was so widespread that it was decided that blanket bans of those sites were necessary. Underaged photos from other social networking sites weren't being posted nearly as often, so those sites weren't prohibited by name.

Of all the similar sites out there, sites that are nearly identical to web$hots or my$pace are prohibited, and so are sites that feature content harvested from web$hots and my$pace. Content from other social networking sites is ok as long as don't post photos of subjects who are --or appear to be-- under 18, or are prohibited by other forum rules.
