Drug companies that find side effects after it has been released, particularly the fatal ones. You put in thousands of hours researching and use hundreds of test subjects to find out later on that your drug can cause heart attacks and other fatal complications. Great job there guys.

Pant measuring.  I, usually, wear a 32 waist, 30 leg pair of pants.  It appears every pant manufacturing company in the world measures from a different point for the leg.  I can buy a 28 leg from one company that is the same length as a 32 from another.  This is from all North American companies, so they don't even have the excuse of having differing continental size systems, like the shoe manufacturers do.  It pisses me off every time I have to take the pants back or get them hemmed when I got them at the length that SHOULD be the right length!

I apologize in advance if I post duplicate pictures in any of the picture threads I deal in.  My MO in getting pictures of one girl is to rip her Instagram.  That ends up with me having up to 2000 pics of her.  I've tried almost half a dozen duplicate finder programs, and none of them find all of the duplicates I inevitably end up with.

Using "w/" does save the Kuala Lumpur taxpayer over $134,200,200 standard Norwegian krona each lunar year instead of using "with".

Ok, but how much is that in kowrie shells?

...and remember, smaller fonts and not using paragraph breaks save storage space.

In these unsettling times, NOW is truly the best time to invest in kowrie shells.

Kowrie shells have performed better than the S&P 500 for the last three years in a row.

In these times, wouldn't you feel safer with your investments in kowrie shells?

I understand your pain.  I have exactly the same problem, only different.  Mine isn´t with pant measuring, it´s with bras.

E-Mail:

People who do not change the subject line on a message even though they are no longer discussing that subject.

People who keep including the text of earlier messages as they reply to them. It's OK the first time, but when you get to four or five levels...

At the Supermarket:

People who park their cart in the middle of the aisle while looking over the shelves for that one specific item so you can't get past them.

People who take their sweet old time in the express self-checkout lane. Dude, I'm just getting some milk. Move your sorry ass!

On the Subway:

It always seems to be black males that do this - they sprawl out with their legs wide apart so that they are effectively taking up a seat and a half, squeezing in everyone else. What, you have a rash and need to air out your crotch?

When you're in an aisle, hallway, narrow sidewalk, stairwell, or anywhere with little room for traffic flow and directly in front of you plod 2-3 people side-by-side, VERY slowly, almost always happily chatting with each other.  HelLO?  You're not alone in this world, thankyouverymuch.

People who drive 10+ mph below the speed limit (on interstates) or 5+ mph below (locally) in the left lane.  It's particularly bad here in AZ because it's not a blanket state law that one can only legally pass on the left.  Back in NJ it was.

People who insist on playing their car stereos at 12 (   ).  Almost always, they're listening to rap.  I think hearing the space shuttle flying 100 feet overhead would be more placid.

Supermarket: Women who drag their trolley (cart) with them when they go to the shelves so they are occupying a space nearly ten feet long, right in front of the goods I want to buy. Then they stand there, taking down one package after another, looking at them then putting them back. You stupid cow, they're all the same! I go away and come back five minutes later and they're still there.

Women who go through the checkout and slowly pack all their shopping away while the cashier is waiting for them to pay. Then they realise that all this stuff is going to have to be paid for, so they take out their purse and start pulling out a six-month collection of Special Offer tokens.

Men in suits who are buying one sandwich and a Kit-Kat, so they go through the Quick Check-out (Less than 10 Items), then try to pay by Letter of Credit from the Ninth National Bank of New Caledonia.

Cashiers who always say "Lovely" when I hand them a £20 note, then say "Thank you, sir, brilliant, sir, thank you!" as they give me the change. What will it be next, "Have a nice day, you hear?"

**82** (or lack thereof):

Being completely unable to shake off that feeling of "cobwebs in the brain", no matter how much caffeine, ginseng, ginko biloba you consume, or exercise regimen you perform.  Even if you thought you had the usual quota of **82** the night before.

Going to bed completely exhausted, expecting to zonk out immediately, then discovering that your body/brain have decided to play a lively round of "Toss and Turn".

Falling asleep in front of the TV, but when you finally go to bed you couldn't be more alert.

Having recurring dreams which, instead of relaxing you or giving you something interesting to ponder, merely serve to stress you out.  They're not nightmares per se, but you wake up after the Nth time dreaming it, wondering if in fact it ever did happen.  (One of mine (which I haven't had for a while) originally started out with me signing a lease for an apartment I never did move into.  Eventually I started to wonder about the accumulating debt.  Another is being back in university towards the end of the school year.  It's already past the drop-date for the course, and I suddenly realize that I've missed most of the course and that I'm about to sit the final exam.  Maybe we could start a "Dreams" thread?)

People completely unfamiliar with the subjunctive form of "to be".  Instead of saying "If I were you" they say "If I was you".

Isn't that just lack of confidence? They're not sure about the subjunctive mood, so they opt out and use the lazy "If I was you".

What about the opposite? "Whomever". People who use "whom" or "whomever" when "who" or "whoever" are correct, but they think "whomever" sounds more educated. In England, nobody says "whomever" anyway, and we all seem to get by perfectly well without it.

I've got another one. Footballers' conditionals. "If I would have done this or that, I would have been OK," instead of "If I had ... I would have." Then just to be annoying, they write it as "would of..."

This is a cathartic thread.

I couldn't agree with you more about this one. The loud bass actually makes me cry because my ears hurt so badly from it, and I typically end up with a nasty headache afterwards.
