It only takes a few creeps to ruin it for everyone.  Like it or not, there are a good number of people who lack social graces in the BEA community, and those are the people who can cause problems.  I've seen it a lot of times - both here and on Bambi's board. 

Angelus is correct: a few creeps CAN ruin it for everyone. However, the fact that some percentage of users 'lack social graces' is hardly unique to the BEA, or adult sites, or even the internet itself... it's a HUMAN condition... some people WILL cross that line of propriety every time.

Frankly, I constantly marvel that the average (of polite, gentlemanly behavior) is as HIGH as it is here year after year given the subject matter we get together to discuss. Sure, we've had our incidents: flamers and misogynists and racists and headcases and yes, even a couple of bonafide stalker-types, but overall... given all the tens of thousands of folks that have come through the BEA Forums during the past decade+, I think we're doing pretty well in terms of community standards.

As long as folks are able to express themselves with a modicum of adult restraint (and respect for others, be they users, models or whatever) and TALK with each other like adults... EVEN and ESPECIALLY when they disagree about something (such as has happened in THIS thread) we'll be OK.
