Curious how the rating system works?

Just made a couple of posts a day or so ago and one got 5 stars the other 4 1/2, Curious how the rating system works? :-\

Four people had rated it. Two of them gave it five stars, and two of them gave it four stars.

Are there any particular criteria pics are rated for, or is just personal taste?

Just personal taste.  Usually if it's rated at all, it's on the high side, because many people won't rate stuff they don't like.

I apologize in advance if I post duplicate pictures in any of the picture threads I deal in.  My MO in getting pictures of one girl is to rip her Instagram.  That ends up with me having up to 2000 pics of her.  I've tried almost half a dozen duplicate finder programs, and none of them find all of the duplicates I inevitably end up with.
