Nude photos of anyone that are known to have been stolen and posted against the subjects' wishes are by definition private information, and subject to the forum's privacy rule:

      Do not request or share private or identifying information about any user, model,
      or other person, living or dead, unless it has already been made publicly available
      by that person.

It goes without saying that armies of lawyers will be sending takedown requests to sites that host these photos. Please spare BEArchive the hassles and unwanted attention.

(I'm giving you the most risk-averse interpretation of the rules at the moment, since this is kind of a "late-breaking nudes" situation.)

That is a rather futile gesture I think.
If you make intimate pictures of yourself (and place them on a service like ICloud), or allow them to be taken, there is always a risk they will (leak from such a service and) end up on the internet.
It also shows to me how rubbish Apple actually is.

My moral high horse might have three broken legs and a bad case of the strangles but I don't agree with this at all. It wasn't an accidental leak. This wasn't someone accidentally sending a dick pic to his entire contact list. Someone(s) maliciously released these after cracking Apple security and giving those assholes an ethical pass just because the pictures existed reeks mightily of victim-blaming. There was an expectation of privacy on the part of the uploaders. We, as a culture, DO have an expectation of privacy for digital media we've personally configured for limited access. That's why ACLs, passwords, user accounts and many, many other facets of information security exist.  I'm sure there's plenty of digital material lying around our hard drives that we might not want friends, family, workmates or the public to know about. Would you truly be okay if someone hacked into your computer, made a copy of, say, your (hypothetical) erotic fanfiction involving Captain Crunch and the Spice Girls that you've been storing in a password-protected document and released a plain-text version into the wild along with your name and other PII? Gee whiz, I guess you shoulda just written it up on a typewriter and locked it in a bank vault, right? Oh, and you better copy your porn stash to VHS and bury all seven thousand tapes in the backyard.

These are still human beings and this has to be humiliating for most of them. I don't think BEA should be a part of this. There are likely hundreds of other sites hosting these pictures so why risk a takedown notice by hosting them here? Anyone interested can spend five seconds typing the appropriate search query into Google.

My own thoughts and opinions however range to if you think for a damned second that ANY storage facility or service such as this 'cloud' is 'safe' you are massivly mistaken. 

When I first heard of this 'cloud' my first thought was who would be stupid enough to store something there where it can be deleted, lost, hacked, or somehow otherwise be lost.  This event to me more than proves how gullible people are.

I hope most of us oldtimers saw this security issue the second the service was announced.

I am sorry that thier pics and information was compromised but,  if it aint in your house or a banks security box you DO NOT have control over it.

Pining over how things should be is the greatest exercise in futility a person can ever undertake.  That's great for a discussion board (or if you're a philosophy major or something), but that and $5 will get you a Mocha Frappe at Starbucks.  No one should have any expectation of privacy in this day and age, anyone with an ounce of common sense anyways (not saying you personally, man).  Digital should be fine (ie pics taken with a digital camera), but putting them on, or better yet TAKING them with an internet/phone device?  Puhleeese!

I haven't been able to find any of them (must not being entering the right queries), but I'm sure interested in seeing the Kate Upton stuff.  Amazing how big she looks for a woman without very much sweater meat.  I've never seen someone so (relatively) small look so busty.  The whole top 3 sizes too small trick worked really well for Yoko Matsugane, but she's pretty big to begin with.  It's all in how you package it I suppose.  She has spectacular tits regardless, but my preferences steer towards a larger direction (big duh I know her on this site).

As lovely as she is, look at this comparison.  Which tits would YOU choose?

We're doing so under the expectation that our real identities are safe even though that information IS available online for anyone with the means and the will to decloak you. As you and Cutter pointed out, it may not be a realistic one (and will likely become less and less so), but at this point it's definitely still there and I don't think trusting a company with a full-time InfoSec department was an unreasonable expectation. Especially not to the point where we start blaming those affected by this breach.

Agreed.  And this is also why people should be very wary of the pitfalls of cloud storage that the industry seems so hell-bent on getting everyone to accept and use.
