My understanding is that in games of dice, you can call out "Boxcars!" when you roll a double six.  I've just now "rolled" a very big double six of my own.  On the one hand, my total number of Addventure episodes should soon hit the 2800 mark, making me the sixth most prolific Addventurer.  On the other hand, I've just now passed Sadistyk's post count, making me the sixth most prolific Forum contributor.

This is of course a fleeting glory.  At least two other Addventurers, young and full of semen yet to be spurted, will no doubt overtake me in just a couple of months, dumping me down to #7 and then #8.  I may eventually overtake MunchWolf, hitting #5 -- but in fact I greatly look forward to Shara and gOOber someday overtaking me, bringing me back down to #6 and then #7.

So this brief moment is about as good as it will ever get for me.  It's a weird place to be.  When I first registered here, I thought Prophet Tenebrae had a shot at a double statistic like this, but he seems to have bowed out.  It is flatly surreal to me that I have at long last gone past Sadistyk, or even that I might before Christmas go past MunchWolf.  Back in 2003 such feats seemed Herculean, but I guess some statistics are earned by the simple art of sticking around.  In any case, I will always recall July 2011 as that one brief moment that I rolled boxcars.  I hope to be at least as successful some day in other, even larger pursuits.

It was a three month run.  Now I'm #5 at the Forum, and I plan to keep going to at least 11400, due to my distaste for the number 13.  But maybe gOOber will overtake me again someday while I somehow stay ahead in the Addventure.  It may come back.  You never know.

I hope I'm not jinxing it too badly when gOOb is only seven ahead -- but thanks to his rising beyond me with an enjoyable frequency of pics and wit (as opposed to pits and wick?), I'm back to the double six: sixth most prolific in the Forum, sixth most prolific in the Addventure.  I've just come unstuck from a two week cyberjunta, which helped me to shut up around here while gOOb sailed on, but now I really have to get back to some Addventuring left idle.  Anyway, I can now add March 2012 to July through October 2011.

Man, that was a good run, for over a year.

In the Addventure, my #6 ranking has not been overtaken after all.  Yet.  But I have faith.

But now I'm #5 at the Forum all over again.  I actually consider that a bit of a shame, because I think this place can always use more Goldeneye.  So, farewell, double six.

Personally, I wonder if we Top Five could simply consider ourselves a Rosario Dawson fan club.
