GIMP 2.8 "cage deform tool"
« on: April 19, 2012, 06:24:38 AM »
The upcoming 2.8 release of the GIMP image editing program has a new (for it, at least) tool called "cage deform" that might be useful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4whULCb8t0 shows it being used for a BE morph.

I think that the best way to learn is thru trial and error, it takes time, but does work.

Yup, it's not magic. One thing that helps a bit is checking the box that says "Fill the original position of the cage with a plain color". But you will still need to go back and touch up the discontinuity afterwards.
