best way individually is to cover them in liquid soap. they suffocate in moments because their spiracles can't breathe
I use any dish-washing liquid soap such as Dawn.
I just add it to a spray bottle with water and it does the job. Saves a lot of money from not buying any sort of "roach spray".
It takes from 30 seconds to a minute (depending on the amount of liquid soap and water mixed) to kill the roaches that you see scurrying around.
The boric acid/sugar mix does not kill on contact, but today I have found out that any eggs that have hatched were in areas not readily accessible.
These roaches will come in contact with the boric acid/sugar mix and take it back to the inaccessible areas where it will also kill the nests.
Remember this may take several days or weeks depending on the amount of infestation you may have.
